Yes. I fully agree with you. He tries to to talk science and logic. He ends up talking nonsense and illogic! We are very tolerant nation. We have tremendous freedom in out country. We patiently bear with such pseudo-islamists.

According to Islam, he didn't say anything wrong. I don't see any problem in there. And he said that definitely in answering a question, not merely bringing this up.
It's not "according to Naik". Islam is the last religion and only accepted to Allah (God). If Islam is not followed, then the hereafter will be threatened.
I agree this may hurt lot of people and sound mean, but this is a basic belief of Islam. If non-Muslims entered heaven after Islam, then there was no need for Islam. You have the right to disagree. But do you have the right to disrespect a high calibur personality of profound knowledge?

How can Dr Naiks answer cause inter-religous conflict? Christians believe that if you dont believe in Jesus as God then you are 'lost' and going to hell etc. Why pick on Islam?
The most important pillar of Islam is Imaan (Faith). Faith that Allah is One and Mohammed (pbuh) is the last messenger of Allah.
Anyone not believing in that fundemental belief cannot be called a believer in the context spoken of in the Quraan. To deny Allah is a sin of great magnitude.
Another error in your question Ka'afir is not a derogatory term, it is what the word disbeliever translates into in arabic. The Jews use the term 'Goy' to refer to disbelievers and many take this to be derogatory but it is merely a description from Hebrew just like Ka'afir is from Arabic.
If you're going to look for hate in everything you will find it.

You can say the opposite if you'd like! That's okay with me an most Muslims...
The fact of the matter is that neither you, nor Dr. Naik, will decide on the final fate of these people, and whether or not they will go to Heaven.
God has the final judgement on everyone, even "Mother Terresa, Adison", and "Ghandi"!

No one including Dr. Naik can play God.
When we read the Quran and learn about the Kafir (those who cover the truth knowingly, which is the actual definition of the word), we also learn about the pre-Islamic Arab system. In that system slaves could be beaten to death, girl children could be buried alive and women were no more than a mere possession of men. Islam and the Prophet taught that all men are equal slave or free, women are the preservers of the future of Islam and humanity and used to stand up in respect for his own daughter.
Labels are the worst form of distortion. When you compare a peaceful Hindu person who does not wish to kill an animal or creature to the pre-islamic arab who could bury his own daughter alive, you can see the total hollowness of the label.
When the word Kafir is used in the Quran, it is loaded with those connotations. When you look at a man like Gandhi, who followed the principles of Islam more closely than most Muslims, it is hard to be judgmental. Same thing is true for Mother Teressa.
Everytime the Quran talks about worshipping the One Lord, in the same sentence almost everytime it also talks about charity. Both these persons have dedicated their lives to God and charity. Gandhi from what I know was a very spiritual man as was MT. We do not know his deeper thoughts. Who are we to judge, when we do not take care of our neighbors as we are supposed to.
What good is the worship of the Lord Almighty if it is not attached to taking care of his poor and needy, who are our means to connect with the Almighty just as prayers are. In fact prayers are supposed to give us the strength to serve those who are in need, as ultimately we human beings are selfish and self centered and can become very materialistic if the spiritual dimension within us is suppressed.
Ultimately the Lord knows each of us and our histories. He has known everyone in the lineage of Gandhi, MT, you and me. He has known us from deep within us to our outside physical self. We do not know ourselves as he knows us.
Dr. Naik however was probably answering the question on technical grounds alone. I have not seen that question or his answer. Many times people understand an answer as the way they wish to understand it. I admire him and I think he is a reasonable man. I am not sure how I answered it. There are the four criteria to enter heaven that he does talk. But, there are also instances in the Quran where God Almighty may use special criteria for special conditions. Who knows how the Lord will judge us or them.
All we need to do is toil for good and hope for the best and serve His creatures. If you love the Artist, you love his Artwork, which is you and me, the animals and the trees and the air and the World.
I hope this makes sense.

Neither Naik nor mohamud had a clue. The Bible predicted there would be false prophets who would deceive many. The Bible predicted in Rev 6:8 that Islam would have power over one fourth of the world, and now that has come to pass.
Mother Teresa stood before God the day of her death and bowed her knee to Jesus Christ, Just like Dr. Naik will do, and just like Mohamud did when he died.
Phil 2:9-11
God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. KJV
No brag, just fact, that's just how it is. Get used to it.

Only God knows which of them did or didn't enter paradise. I like Mother Theresa's chances a lot more than I like Naik's. Unless he leaves islam and comes to Christ it's gonna be a painful and sad eternity for him.

His sin is in judging the state of these people's souls. We may have our opinions, but we must not steal God's glory in this way. Judging is His function.
Character that is not based on faith is not character at all. And who are we to know the hearts of man?
