The World Best Army

2016-12-13 03:10:47 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

Man for man, probably the Israelis. And their technology is very high. Better than the US in some areas. Their UAVs are the best. Laser and particle beams weapons are right up there. Right now they're working on a daylight cloaking system. Bends light from behind the object and wraps it around to the front. So a person standing in front of you is effectively invisible. Works even better at night. And they've had nukes since the early 70s or maybe late 60s. They came within 15 minutes of nuking Damascus in the '72 war. They do a lot of their testing in South Africa and other countries that would really surprise you if you knew. Iran may be able to cobble together a rudimentary nuclear warhead but the Israelis have the latest and most sophisticated nuclear stuff. Say goodbye to large chunks of Iranian real estate.

Andrew D is a dumb@ss, why don't you go to Iraq and see how easy it is u idiot!! It don't matter if we are the best, War is War and Soldiers die in Wars, and don't forget that we ain't fighting another military, we are fighting insurgents and we don't even know who they are cause all those muthaphukas look alike. We are talking about the best military, if were to go against another military, then it will be a whole different story, remember we beat the crap out of the Iraqi Army. But this War is very different and hard to win. I repeat, VERY DIFFERENT WAR! Even the British want to leave already.

US Army vs Other Countries Army. US wins. US has the best and that is why everyone fears the US and that is why they hate the US for being so powerful. PERIOD!!

I would say Hizbollah's militia comes close. It is well trained, able to slip away into the general population if needed, and well equipped by such countries as Iran/Syria etc.

I know this isn't a traditional answer to your cliche of a question, but I feel that in the modern world places too much importance on military 'firepower' or 'training.' Where Hezbollah showed it's superiority was in being able to first effectively hold off Israel's 'modern' 'well-trained' army and then, more importantly, maintain strong public support by way of quickly initiating reconstruction efforts in Lebanon before Israel or western nations could do a thing.

As an American civil-military specialist I have been witness to the sluggish and/or non existant response or western nations to the reconstruction needs of Iraq/Lebanon/Afghanistan, and thus can appreciate the priority Hezbollah placed on its reconstruction efforts.

Without the support of the people, no military or civilian efforts can succeed on ANY ground. Look at Vietnam, at Iraq, at New Orleans... Dictators, despots, and extremists may not appreciate democracy, but that doesn't mean they don't also appreciate that it is the population which keeps them in power. Even Saddam Hussein knew to rapidly rebuild damaged parts of his country after the Iran-Iraq War to help prevent public fallout. Conversely, UN responses to crises are slow and ineffective. American responses are woefully underfunded, expecially in proportion to the amount of damage which we cause to our military targets. If our government really cared to protect our troops it wouldn't have spent billions on contracts to US companies to make them omelets for breakfast, it would have spent the money on rapid reconstruction efforts, easily cementing public support- it would have given people jobs, rebuilt industries, and paid police officers.

Hezbollah knows what most western powers have forgotten- that any power that it gains comes directly from the people it has control over, and so it should use that power to provide for them or risk losing it.

Anyway all I'm really saying is that the effectiveness of any military is directly affected by how its government implements it and supports it.

Oh and to the Israel lovers: the Israeli Defense Force of today is ideologically weaker than that which defended Israel from destruction in previous generations. Just as younger Americans never knew the bitterness of Vietnam and thus were led into similar situations in Iraq, younger Israelis never knew the joy of building their own country or the fear of annihilation- feelings which encouraged such a radical and effective response to Arab aggression. That the IDF has western weapons and training is not nearly enough to offset the fact that at wartime its bulk is made up of reservists- kids who don't want to be there, and who often don't understand what they're fighting for- hardly shock troops.

Now that is a very good question, I think the U S A, hands down.....Most countries are afraid of us!!! Think about this, how many wars have been fought on this soil? Before any foreign countries think about approaching the U S A.., they better think again, and believe me "They Have".......Our troops have a great reputation, and great training, and more than enough artillery Remember the Navy Seals, and Special Forces, all those special teams that can be utilized immediately. Don't you feel safer here than anywhere else in the world. All branches of the military are doing a great job, Personally, I thank them for that...........

The Israeli army is badass, but small. No one wants to tangle with the US Military, if you remember, in the 90s Iraq and Iran battled each other for 7 or 8 years basically to a stalemate, we destroyed the Iraq army in less than three weeks. Libya surrendered their nuke program, without being asked, when they saw what the US did to the Iraq army, at the time Iraq had the fourth largest army in the world, no longer.

Israeli forces are not considered anywhere near the best in military circles. They have better technology than their neighbours, but they mostly attack unarmed civilians. Hezbollah has defeated Israel twice.

The best army, meaning the most skilled & combat proven military force is the British SAS. They have the most highly trained and respected troops in the world.

But the US has the worlds most powerful military force, although Russia has re-built and China is a major power.

The United States of America!

As far as equipment I would have to say the US. As far as experience, I woule have to agree with the the first answer. People in that reagion have been fighting for years and years. All around I would go with the US though.....our troops are well traind and well equiped. Plus they are all volunteer, which makes them strong as well. It would take one hell of a united enemy to really give us a run....
