St. John, USVI.
Very beautiful, almost spiritual in it's simplicity. You have to take the ferry over from St. Thomas and the island is largely unpopulated because so much of it is National Park Service. The winding roads through the mountains to the pristine beaches backed with dense jungle instead of resort hotels is a refreshing change from any other beach vacation destination and is what keeps those who love St. John returning year after year. Not a "touristy" vacation, more of an escape.

I am from Michigan in the USA
My vote is to go to the Island of St. Martin in the French West Indies and stay on Orient Beach. One popular smaller resort on that beach is shown here: http://www.alamanda-resort.com/msie4.htm...
It is a relatively casual resort within a few footsteps of a wonderful beach. The beach is topless but only a half mile walk to a totally nude portion of the beach. Very quiet compared to a lot of beaches, hardly any noise pollution like radios. Lots of couples on honeymoons etc. I went for 10 consecutive nights in late April and Early May and it was FANtasTIC. One of the best times to go they say is November to January or April and May. Avoid July-October cuz of Hurricane season. Another great thing is that St. Martin is only a 2 hour boat trip to St. Barth which is a good side trip. St. martin is half Dutch heritage and half French. The Dutch side is noisy with casinos and the French side is quieter with fine cousine and pristine beaches. A number of airlines fly there including US Air which goes direct from Charlotte. Take passports for sure you will need them. People are very friendly. Rental cars are inexpensive and you can get all inclusive insurance for a small amount.

I'm from the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Brrr! Best vacation: Hawaii. But that was over 40 years ago and I'm sure it's a lot more congested now. Weather was great, people very friendly. Oahu, Maui, and the big island, Hawaii.

properly, it is hard. my absolute well-liked trip i've got been on replaced into going to Seattle with my spouse a pair years in the past. It replaced into in basic terms an surprising couple of days, we walked maximum of cumulative miles and basically lined a ton of floor. it is this way of cool city. additionally, the certainty that Safeco is such a great ballpark fed into it. We ended up catching a 2nd baseball game on the fly because of the fact we've been so enthusiastic with reference to the situation. we incredibly % to pass there sometime. I additionally quite enjoyed the completed Florida Disney thingy. I went something like 8-10 years in the past with a pal of mine and his family contributors and it replaced right into a great purchase of exciting. i'm form of a sucker for the Disneyland subject although, and it replaced into great to have maximum of parks to pass to and all of that stable stuff. i comprehend it is not any longer all of us's cup of tea. i think of the final sheer region although replaced into Kwai. I went with my family contributors whilst i replaced into sixteen or 17 and guy. it is basically breathtaking there. So surprising. I swear, everywhere you look in certainty has the makings of a positioned up card. i'm quite looking forward to taking my spouse there sometime. Vegas is a very exciting trip, and that i like to pass as quickly as each 12 months to 2 years, yet I swear if i'm there for extra desirable than 2 days I start to experience much less human. For me, as quickly as the luster wears off it basically starts off to experience like a notably depressing place. That, and inevetibly I start to realize that i've got in certainty misplaced the seed money for a extra effective trip on the tables (i do no longer gamble that lots, yet say that my spouse and that i the two lose $350 then we unexpectedly could have long gone to long island or someplace like that, someplace new). It surely makes for a very exciting weekend although... usually.

I am from Arkansas, and it is a great place to travel if you haven't been there. But, my best place to travel is Europe. The fact that you are in Paris and the catering that they give you in the hotel are remarkable.
