I'm looking for a restaurant in Long Island to take my date that is romantic, and formal. I want to be able to dress up very nicely in either tie or dress pants and nice, formal shirt (button down) and she would like to wear a nice dress. I'm hoping to find something that would be a $100-$150 dinner for two if possible, nothing over that. The Roslyn/Elmont area is where I'll be but I'll consider anything. Also, if Brooklyn/Queens/Manhattan have places, I'll consider them too. Any great fine dining tips would be great as well like what wine to order and such. I want to make a great impression!

Queens is the much cheaper option. Check out the listings above for a great place for a pre dinner drink and excellent dining places. Long Island is out of your price range.

for starters narrow down where you'll be. roslyn and elmont are separated by about a dozen towns and neighborhoods. so figure out which one and go from there.
