Papillons are of French origins, so you might want a French name> http://www.cat-dog-names.com/french-dog-names.html

I like Monarch too. However I am partial to naming my dogs after States & Cities. I had a Memphis, and now a Tennessee. My friend named her schnauzer Denver, from where she got him. It is unique. Does your dog require an AKC registered name? Then go with something like Monarchs Wicked Fairy. Monarchs Hans Solo or Obi Wan Kanobi, you could call him Obi Wan for short.

Before I got my puppy I used to visit him and his brothers and sisters and mom, I thought I had a name picked out, but when I brought him home it didn't really match his personality. I would kind of get to know him and see how he acts. Thats what I did and his name "Leonardo" (Leo for short) fits him perfect. I was going to name him Sonny because I have the father, but Leo seems to fit him perfect. Good luck
