The margin for a career is closing in on me with age. 2.To just visit differant regions of the U.S. and the world. I live in the bible belt of west Texas so getting a change of scenery would be nice. 3. Gi Bill....I would like to finish shool and what better way to finish than to have the Gi Bill take care of a percentage of it.. Please help if you can.

If you want to see the world, the Navy is the best bet. But be prepared for 6+ month deployments on a ship to see it. The Navy also offers 100% tuition assistance while your active duty, and the G.I. Bill on top of that. Just make sure that whatever branch you choose, do NOT go in undesignated or you'll be wasting your time for a few years doing crappy jobs.

I would have to say the Air Force. All three branches offer direction and you could make a career out of any branch of the military. If you would like to travel, the Navy will take you around the world, but most of what you'll see is water with the occasional port. The Army will send you places, lots of which you won't want to go. As far as the GI Bill, unless you want to wait until after your enlistment is up to go to school or do on line classes, don't choose the Army. Out of the three branches that you mentioned, the Army does most of the "dirty" work---combat, long deployments, etc. I am an Army wife who lives on a Army base that joins an Air Force base. The Air Force has better living quarters, better facilities (restaurants, entertainment) and has short deployments.

I would have to say for the educational purposes go either Air Force or Navy, because the Army will focus on combat skills and will not leave you much time for school.

If you would like to travel and see various places then Air Force and Army, the Navy does travel but they spend the majority of the time on-ship so you really will not see much unless you are on R&R.

All three will give you direction and help you with a career. I hope that this helps some.

In today's military, the opportunity to do a number of different jobs is vast. Being a Navy Reservist and just coming back from a years deployment on shore in Kuwait, I am partial to that branch of service. The sea/shore rotation is getting better depending on your job. So to answer: 1. Any are good just depends on what you like. Marines and Army you'll more than likely see action in Iraq or Afghanistan, but Navy, Coast Guard, and Air Force are also there. For travel- Navy. Tons of places for shore rotation and on a ship you get to see where you like before you go for a few years. 3. GI Bill is the same no mater what branch.

Why do people think of the Air Force and think all of them are Pilots?? For example, Dutch. More than 90% of the personnel in the AF aren't even Pilots.

Want a Challenge with a good Bonus and lots of College money: Go Army.

Want a Challenge and be the most Diciplined:
Join the Marines

Want to Travel the World on a ship:
Join the Navy, unless you join the Seals or Seabees, you won't be on a ship often.

Want to be spoiled and feel like you're not in the military:
Join the Air Force

Want to do Law Enforcement and Save lives in the U.S:
Join the Coast Guard.

I think Air Force , second, Navy , Navy has a great computer program
I love the Army (born and raised as a Brat) but you must have a guarantee of your duties, if not, expect combat

You're still forgetting the most elite military branch in the world..

United States Marine Corps.

if you havent even considered them....you obviously arent ready. "Ain't Ready to be a Marine Yet"(ARMY)

Go for the Navy if you like man-love...those nights on those ships get lonely.

and go for the Air Force if you just wanna be a civilian in uniform.

ARMY--Do you like sleeping outside?Like going weeks at a time without a shower? AIR FORCE--Do you like flying for long periods of time in uncomfortable seats in a cargo plane without a decent heater? NAVY--Hot meals, dry beds, plenty of travel. Seriously though, any branch of the service is probably better than what you're doing now. GOOD LUCK!!

Navy. Not the army, anyway, for a few reasons, but this is an important one: in joint assignments, the soldiers are the ones who pull all the duty.

don't listen to dutch, people have different jobs in the military, there not all sitting on planes for hours, my husband is 22 and has been in the Air force for 3 and a half years, he LOVES it, he is going to school and the Air Force is paying for it, (going for chemistry) he has been to Hawaii, Guam, Thailand, Diego Garcia (indian ocean) turkey and afganistan, you gotta think he went in when he was 19 and will retire at 39! he loves his job and wants to stay in, the Air Force by far has the nicest bases and really work with you if you have a family (we don't have kids yet)
just remember to get a guaranteed job, DON"T let the military pick your job for you or you'll be miserable, because you have to do that job for at least 4 years, my husband got a really high score on his ASVAB and picked his job, lets say if you wanted to be a nurse and you ask them to put you working in a hospital, well you have to remember that even hospitals need janiors so you could be a janitor for 4 years! remember to be specific when talking to your recruiter about your job, if you have any more questions, me and my husband can answer them for you, jessie552001@yahoo.com, just let me know! good luck! you love it!
