I was dead and now I live...because you are "dead in your transgressions" and true life is in Christ..like he said " I am the way the truth and THE LIFE" I remember when I first became a Christian I thought that I would never "have fun again" but truth be told I never really had fun before I was always stoned and VERY unhappy...now I am on a NEW HIGH and I am full of Joy and happiness...it's amazing how in a blink of an eye you finally see the light..my favorite bumper sticker says " I was dead once but I didn't like it"..true so true

first of all, how is someone to know if they died if they comeback to life afterwards?
Don't say "they see heaven" because no one knows what heaven looks like. If you died in your sleep and woke up the next day, would you know you've died? You probably wouln't even notice.
No one can tell whether they are dead and in heaven or having a pleasant dream. If you came back to life, you'll discard it as pleasant dream rather than heaven.

I had an out of body experience. I was taken to the hospital for alcohol poisoning (a long time ago) and saw myself on the table, white sheets over me, nurses and doctors all around me. ... I could feel the ceiling on my back, while I hovered. It all took place in only a matter of seconds, then I remember being revived.
