i would suggest going to tattoofinder.com and looking at all the different designs on there to get some ideas. I agree with everyone else, it has to be a personal choice that fits you.

Hi CK, I have 2 tattoos myself and i am planning on getting a lower back tattoo this time. You didn't say, what kind of tattoo you have now!! That would help to see what you like. You want a tattoo to fit your personality so you will be satistied with the tattoo, since you will have it the rest of your life. If your into hearts thats a nice tattoo and it can mean 2 things: your in love with someone,or you love life and like to have fun and enjoy life.I have a heart just below my waist line, and i love it.There's so many hearts to choice from with different sizes, color and you can add on different things to the heart.I pick a trible heart it has a curved line at the top of the heart and a curved line at the bottom..I could go on forever about tattoos but i will stop here. I hope you find the right tattoo that fit your personality.. A Friend.

If you have to get suggestions from total strangers you are not ready to get a tat and will regret it later. A tattoo is a personal thing, you will have it forever so it needs to mean something to you. I have 11 and only wish I had gotten them bigger.. but they all have meaning, even if I got it just cause I liked the way it looked, I have to live with it forever, I may as well enjoy it.

My advise is to nost as other people, unless they might truly know who you are. My reasoning is this: Tattoos are very personal. People should thnk long and hard on what they want. The best way to get a satisfying design is to pull it from you... may it be your intersts or what not... It's best to get something that describes you, or symbolizes you or something that is very important to you....

Don't listen to what other people say, you will carry it, not them...

For ideas, maybe, http://www.bmezine.com
Just don't steal, that just sucks, alright?

A bruise? That is one of the stupidest comparison I have heard of a tattoo. Does This looke like a bruise?

Prime example. Does it? No.

Good luck,

I'm not sure what your tastes and style is. A tattoo is such a picky thing too.

Do you like flowers, shooting stars, any particular animal, do you want something tough like a skull? I mean, there are no limits on what you can/cannot get. I wish you luck finding something.

all of my tattoos are personal and have a story behind them.
A purple blooming rose on my ankle symbolizing me breaking free of controlling parents and doing my own thing.

A Sunflower on the back of my neck symbolizing my family becoming a "unit" again and that we cannot act without each other.

And finally I have given a rose to my deceased father that intertwines with his astrological sign with his name under it on my other ankle.

Sorry to bore you but I like to share. My point is that since your tat will be with you forever, you may as well make it meaningful and personal.

Before you go out and permanently ruin your skin, think first about what youd like to see on wrinkly old 70 year old skin. What started out as a butterfly might look more like a moth in 45 years. Personally i think most tattoos look like bruises. To each his own.

Hmmm---it depends on what your interests are. Do you like japanese/chinese symbols? Fairies? A four leaf clover? I always wanted a horseshoe.

Don't. Never get a tat unless you have thought it over and really want it.
