Traveling to Phuket in a few days.. I been looking forward to this trip for a long time. My wife and I always wanted to go there.. Unfortunatelly we are no longer together, but I want to go ahead and do something I always wanted to do..
Any advice as to what to visit? what to see? what to avoid?

I loved Phuket - make sure you don't get caught up in the red light district, there's alot more to do! What my friend and I did when we got there was hire a lady with a car (real cheap to do) and she took us around and showed us the best places to see, eat, and shop. She even helped carry our bags. And we'd ask things like, "can we ride an elephant?" and she would take us to the best place to do so... I now have pictures of myself riding on an elephant's head. The Phuket Zoo is interesting if you like zoos at all - alot different than what I was used to in America. I got to pet a full grown tiger and get my picture taken, hang out with an orangutan, hold baby tigers, etc.
Be careful though if you're out having a drink or two in the evening - not all the pretty ladies are ladies!
Have fun!

I recently asked about phuket, people told me they have the best beaches there, so enjoy the sun!

Now it's our rainy season in Thailand and I think there'd be some rains there. You'd be lucky if there's sunshine for some hours during the day. You're welcome and enjoy your stay and sightseeing there.
