Have approximately Dec 26th - Jan 2nd and would like to do an outdoor vacation - hiking, snowshoeing, nordic skiing. Would love to go to a National Park or Forest.

Anyone have good references of places to go - or companies that organize winter activities.

Try visiting some of the links I posted, and they might help you out. There's a mix of US and non-US winter vacation spots that you might like.

Hawaii and Florida are the warmest and nicest for weather in the US. Although in Nov there is still a risk for hurricanes in FL. Southern CA is nice to but the water cold by then and the weather can be somewhat chilly at times in Nov.
