Well it depends on what is causing the deafness. But overall I would say no, but love your dog unconditionally. We all get their some day no mattter if were human or animal.

If its not ear wax buildup or results of an infection, there's nothing you can do. Dogs get deaf from old age too.
The good things is that dogs can learn sign language. Google for more info.

Just can't make them leave the darn hearing aids in ;)
Now some hearing problems are nothing more than a large build up of wax in the ears, and yes this can be helped. BUT BE CAREFUL DOING IT!!!!!!!! or you will do more harm than good.
Most hearing losses in dogs are due to being subjected to loud noises, and yes after 14 years of hunting My ole Lab is almost as deaf as me.
The dogs that were born deaf, can not have their hearing restored, but they can still be trained and live pleasant lives.

why is it deaf-or is it hard of hearing-
could it be a bad ear infection-or have you noticed it since a certain time-
more information would be needed to properly answer this question-
ear problems can be fixed in certain instances-
does your dog scratch its ear(s)--maybe shake its head a lot? Is there any fluid coming out or does it smell?
Does it seem sometimes he hears?

i dont think that can be fixed. i knew a guy who had a deaf dog and he and the dog learned sign language. (some simple hand commands to communicate with the dog)
you dont need words to show him you love him, give him lots of hugs!

here is an article to help.
In my sources area.
I also remember seeing a video on the net about a dog with a hearing aid. EXPENSIVE!!! Looked just like ours, only a hole in the head with a comptraption put in, and you simply disconnect the "hearing aid" part.
Man, wish I could find that video.
