Best way it not to bake them until needed. Make up the cookies as dough, form them into balls, freeze the cookie balls. The frozen cookie dough will stay good for six months. When you want cookies, put the balls on the cooking sheet and place in the oven. Nothing like fresh baked cookies.
If you need the cookies to last only a week... then just seal them in an air tight bag and put them in the refrigerator. Air affects the cookies.
Another option is to hand wrap each cookie. This works better if they cookie is large, over 2 ounces. Use the plastic wrap and stretch over the cookie making a tight seal.

I'm thinking if you keep an airtight container closed then they will stay fresh longer. With cookie containers you're constantly opening it to get cookies out. If you want the whole batch to stay fresh for a week just keep them in an airtight container. If you want to eat some during the week, take some out right now and put them in their own container. You can use wax paper or even aluminum foil to separate the cookies, but not paper towels, they will dry them out.

Using a tupperware container and putting them in layers with wax paper inbetween. Also, a lot of people will put a slice of bread into the container with the cookies. That way the cookies take the moisture from the bread and the bread gets hard and the cookies stay soft!

Store them in my tum. No, frozen is not as good as fresh. Try wrapping them in a plastic bag, tie the top, keep in a tin well away from sunlight.
Best idea is to make the dough, freeze that and then bake the cookies fresh on the day.

You can freeze them and then thaw them. Are you planning on eating them throughout the week? If so, store them in an air tight canister (like Tupperware). If they start to dry out as the week goes buy, but a piece of fresh white bread on top of the cookies. The cookies will draw out the moisture and refresh themselves.

My mom has been trying to lose weight, but she's a caterer, always baking... So she started making single betches (instead of her normal doubles and triples), and freezing them. She puts them in Ziplocs (without excess air) and freezes them in packs of two. She pulls them out on her way to work, and they are usually thawed by lunch. She also said that if she pops it in the microwave for a few seconds, they get all melty hot like they are fresh baked. I haven't tasted them, but since she is not one to eat anything that isn't full-fat, fresh, and fantastic... I would assume freezing doesn't compromise the taste. Good luck!! ♥

Probably not. Make them a few days before instead of a week if possible and store them in a glad-ware container. This will keep them fresh and still soft when you need them. Remember not to open the container until you are ready to serve them other wise the air might make them hard. Also, heat them up after for better quality.

I don't know of any way that you can keep them for a whole week. They really aren't that hard to make, and don't take a lot of time. Try making them the night before you need them, let them cool COMPLETELY, then put them in either a cookie jar with a screw top lid, or in a plastic food bag.
