I don't know if this works for pigeons but.... we had several mud dobbers that kept making nests on the roof over our porch, they were making lots of noise and poops! An elderly friend of mine told me to hang a fake (rubber) snake on the porch. We did this and also laid one on the roof and the birds never did come back to stay. They would circle around the porch but never landed, eventually they just stayed away.

I would try cats and let them do what comes naturally >hunt for prey< and maybe get preditor type statue or figure like an owl other then that i,d clean the window good and apply some "Rain-X"you can buy online i,m sure or auto store,,this will at least make it easier to remove droppings..with a garden hose..

I know this might sound funny but i had the same problem with starlings the usda told me to take anything you could use to make noise and beat on it every night about the time they roost for the night and it will scare them away i did it for about 4 days and they have not come back other then that in don't know what to tell you good luck

Pigeons don't like things that flap in the wind, so get a whole bunch of ribbons and windsocks and streamers and hang them up where the pigeons roost (windchimes, too) .... it will be a bit bright and disctracting for you, but the pigeons will stay away after a while.

A lot of people put chicken wire fencing where the pigeons tend to land. That will prevent them from landing there. That is the only humane thing I can think of.

I see a lot of people around here who buy large plastic owls or cats and put them where the birds are a problem. They spread disease. I don't know if it works, but it can't hurt. I think you can get them at hardware stores or nurserys.

This seems to be a problem everywhere... they hang out where the food is. People start feeding them and they will multiply and never leave.. of course you could buy yourself a Falcon? :)

Well, in most stores you can buy these long thingss with long metal needles sticking out the top, so if a pigeon sits on it, it will die. Or you can put poison on the roof or shoot them.

put up a plastic owl in your backyard...but move it every month or so...the owl tends to scare off the pigeons. Goodluck!
