It is supposed to be cooling and it is supposed to heal inflammation and redness.

You can use witch hazel for this also.

Rosewater is a natural astringent, meaning toner. Use it like you would some toner out of the store. It is very good for sensitive skin since it is not harsh.

over time it softens it and has a nice fragrance.. but once you stop the effect diminishes.
