Bite its toes back.

While your kitten may be teething, biting is always unacceptable behavior. The kitten should be scolded (I NEVER recommend hitting ANY animal), and their attention diverted to something its ok to chew like a toy. Everytime you see the kitten chewing on something good, praise them - strongly, lovingly and lots!!! If necessary, I've been known to put hot pepper sauce on my toes when my kittens are biting, usually allows them to change their mind on their own.

If this really bothers you or if the kitten gets into trouble by doing things you don't want her to do, for instants getting on the table, you can always use a spray bottle filled with water to teach them (train them). Cats usually hate water and when you spray them with the water they will learn that its discipline for things that you won't allow them to do. You should also do it on a serious level. Don't spray them just for fun, because this only confuses them. I used this trick to train all 3 of my cats and when they know they are doing something wrong, and see me reach for the water bottle they always run and hide, but they still get sprayed. This is a very good idea to train them, you should never hit any pet you own, especially cats. They do hold grudes if they are hurt and could end up hating you. This way you are not hurting them and they will learn to love you.

All my cats still come to me for lovings after I do this to them. They are very smart cats and you should learn your cats behavior. It may sound crazy but you can bond with your cat and know exactly why they are doing what they are doing. Its either to play or because they want attention. Good luck hun. You can also go to www.about.com and look up cats and see what a vet has to say about this.

One day she will be a cat and not bite your toes anymore, and you will miss it. Enjoy it while you can! If it really bothers you, get something else for her to chew on and play with, she needs to play all the time. She bites because she is teething and/or bored.

Pepper sauce is one thing...but here's something a bit more pleasent for ur wee tootsies....cats don't like the smell of lavender...use lavender oil on ur feet. When kitty bites say no firmly...never hit or scare the wee thing. If you do she'll find it hard to get close to you and trust you.

he/she is teething, when its biting your feet, divert its attention to something it is ok to bite and wait it out. kitties do this for about a year, then settle down, i know i have one that is just 6 months old now.
