Yes, because of what people are taught. They are taught to not debate and argue and some so called religious people are open to debate which is really against their beliefs but choose to throw their pearls to the swine which is against God's words. Religion is man made and anything that is man made is surely chaotic and definitely going to fall. For a religious people to compromise with non-absolutes is demeaning and goes against Godly principles.
Great question!

And who said they do not naturally allow debate or compromise? Islam is for discussion, thinking and reaching solutions. All religions are for this; it is the people who are strong-headed and opinionated in a way that makes compromises impossible.
Let me ask you and everyone: where do you get your knowledge about religion? Did you read or you just take impressions based on the way people belonging to every religion behave? For example, did you read unbiased, true books about Islam to know what it is or you just observe the world and judge what muslims are and what Islam is?

Naturally don't allow debate or compromise? That's a big thing to say, and false. Do you feel divided from all religious people? Maybe the problem isn't the religions...

People in the Jewish religion debate passages in the Talmud.
A few people say Buddhism encourages debate. It depends on the sect. The Nichiren Buddhist of the SGI are not open to debate and feel they practice the "true" from of Buddhism. However, they are compromising when it comes to stressing the similiarities between Christianity and their beliefs due to their attempts to convert so many Christians.

I feel sorry for many of the people on here and I will take it on my self to apologize to you for having to deal with the fringe religious groups. I have been involved in religious discussions and debate all over the world...the idea the debate and discussion is not allowed is really foreign to me.....maybe you exposure has been with people who have their own agenda's (definitely a people thing) or are new to their religion and think they know more than they do, or are trying to control...I do not know...

There are many things that distress people today about religion. Warfare, terrorism, and corruption in the name of those who claim to serve God. This offends many people’s sense of justice. The fault rests with not all religion but with FALSE RELIGION. What are the characteristics of false religion? Jesus gave us markers of this when he stated at (Matthew 7:15-17) that just as a “rotten tree produces worthless fruit,” so does false religion produce bad works. Some of these markers that “rotten fruit” would yield are:
1. Meddling in war and politics: Religious leaders are declaring things such as, “You have to kill terrorists before the killing stops.” A solution, of “Blow them away in the name of the Lord.”
-Jesus says: “Continue to love your enemies: (Matthew 5:44)
-The bible says: If anyone makes the statement: ‘I love God’ and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar.”
2. Spreading false doctrine: Most religions teach that the soul survives the death of the physical body. Many religions exploit members, charging money to pray for departed souls.
-Bible: “The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5)
-Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected—an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. (John 11:11-25)
Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?
3. Tolerating immoral sex: In many lands church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy and urge governments to recognize same sex marriages. Churches that condemn immorality have tolerated leaders who have sexually abused children.
-Bible: Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, not adulterers, not men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men….will inherit God’s kingdom.” (1Corinthians 6:9, 10)
Do you know of religions that tolerate immoral sex?
Revelation 17:18; 18:12,13,23 show that The harlot sitting on the back of a beast and misleading all the nations by means of her spiritistic practices is a world wide religious entity or false religion. The beast is the world’s political powers. (Revelation 17:10-13)
In a sudden act the wild beast destroys the harlot because God put it in their heart to do so bringing them into account for the acts committed in his name. (Revelation 17:17)
“Get out of her, my people,” urges God’s messenger, “if you do not want to share with her in her sins.”
To identify true religion:
-True worshippers are no part of the world as Jesus was no part of the world, and are not divided by race or culture. They display love among themselves: (John 13:35; 17:16; Acts 10:34, 35)
-They trust God’s word, instead of teaching tradition and commands of men as doctrines. True religions is based on God’s word the bible:
(Matthew 15:6, 9) 6 he must not honor his father at all.’ And so YOU have made the word of God invalid because of YOUR tradition. 7 YOU hypocrites, Isaiah aptly prophesied about YOU, when he said, 8 ‘This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me. 9 It is in vain that they keep worshiping me, because they teach commands of men as doctrines.’”
-True religion trains husbands to ‘love their wives as their own bodies’ and to help wives to develop ‘deep respect for their husbands,’ and teaches children to ‘be obedient to their parents.’(Ephesians 5:28, 33; 6:1)
-Does any religion meet these standards?
The book Holocaust Politics published in 2001, says: “If more people practiced versions of what Jehovah’s witnesses preach and practice, the Holocaust could have been prevented and genocide would scourge the world no more.”
