From my understanding, Zymaflour tablets are Sodium Flouride supplements. Sodium flouride supplements are used often when a child is getting little to no flouride in their diet or water. You have to be very careful with flouride...too much flouride can cause flourosis (teeth are damaged and discolored..yet not decayed) as well as changes in bone. Children under 6 months should not receive these tablets. Thesse days though most children get flouride through water. The water must be tested for fluoride concentration before considering a supplement. Be very careful...children drink water in more than one place and even if the home water has little or no flouride...often the school's water has flouride. Everything needs to be taken into consideration. Having said all of this...if indeed there is a deficiency then a supplement can be very helpful in preventing decay.
