I've read that it's supposed to. Other supplements such as vitamin B complex, CoQ10, Ginkgo Biloba, Milk Thistle, Valerian extract and St. John's Wort are useful too.

Also, there have been studies that Ibuprofen has been shown to enhance memory and decrease the progression of Alzheimer's disease.

I've just finished reading the book, "Making a great brain great" by Daniel Amen that talks alot about brain care that might be useful to you. The author runs a clinic and website with much more information. I'll add the link below. Hope this helps!

Yeah, so can snake oil. There's no scientific evidence to suggest that omega 3 fatty acids or any other nutritional supplements can help slow the progression or reduce the symptoms of Alzheimer's.

The effects of vitamin deficiencies are well documented, but the various claims about the beneficial effects of excessive vitamins are completely unsubstantiated (even the claim that vitamin C helps fight colds). It's important to ensure that a patient with any condition is getting enough of all the essential vitamins and minerals, but there's no proven benefit beyond that point.

Nothing has been tested or approved by the FDA to support those claims, but the alternative-medicine communty does support this theory.
