Do you homeschool? If you do do you like it? Do you dislike it? How long have you been homeschooling? And how much longer are you going to homeschool?
I'm just curious because it seems that just cause I'm homeschooled, my friends that go to public school kind of ignore me. The don't call, email. They always wait for me to call them. And when I do they say. "Sorry can't I'm busy"

Thanks for the replies. I have been to the homeschooling get to gether things. But all of the homeschooling kids I've met so far are very strange. And I mean strange. Like the kids my age act like 6 year olds -_-
But what ever, if people don't like me for who I am or for what school I do then **** on them. I have my family and that's all that maters to me right now.
Thanks again yahoo members! =D

Do we?
Yes.
Like it?
Yes.
Dislike it?
No.
Have been?
18+ years (I'm the mom).
How much longer?
3 years unless I adopt or get foster children.
It sounds to my like you might want to broaden your range of friends. Those that ignore you, don't call or email and are too busy might not be real friends. Consider them as acquaintances and move on. Stay friendly when you see them or if they call but don't fret that they don't have time for you. So what? So, volunteer your services at a children's center and keep yourself busy.
You can also find many home-school groups that will welcome you into their activities and field-trips. Be friendly and make new friends! You can do it.
Another thing that you can do is focus on your studies and get the most out of your time that you can. Make your time work for you. Strive to do your very best in all of your academic pursuits -- then find other people that are just as smart as you. Become your own best friend and you'll be surprised at how many people that you will get to know.

I am a member of a home-school co-operative. We meet once a week and have some mom-taught classes together, and it's a lot of fun and I have a lot of friends. If you are missing out on friendships, I recommend you find some kind of group like this where you can be with people like you regularly and form friendships.
I have been homeschooled almost all my life, and I love it! My sister was homeschooled all the way through highschool and is now in college, and that's my plan too.

*Do You Homeschool?- Yep
I*f you do do you like it?- Yeah it's way bette then public and private school
*Do you dislike it?- No I like it a lot
*How long have you been homeschooling?- all my life except for 4th grade. I went to a public school that year.
*And how much longer are you going to homeschool?- Until I graduate from high school.
I love homeschool. I know people who homeschool. Some do act like little kids but I also know a lot of public school kids who do too. I met a friend whe nI went to public school in 4th grade. She started doing homeschool one year and liked it. Then all of a sudden she hated it and went to a school that the devil goes to. She tried to convince me to go and told me that it's better then homesschool because you get a social life at that school. If going to school gives you a social life then I don't want one. And I even know way more people then my friend does and I get to pick who I want to be with unlike her she has to be with the same people everyday.

Yes. I'm home-schooled. I love it, the reason is because my city schools are so bad I can't express them in words. Put it this way they're using History books from 96-98. Tore up! LOL
Some friends can be jerks when you start home-schooling. That's when you figure out who your real friends are. There are some programs in every state where they have home-school kids that get together and socialize. It's basically a hang-out for home-school kids.

There are some things I like about it and some things I don't. The social life sucks. But you can work at your own pace and finish school early. I go to school online and these are the websites. www.sycamoreacademy.com

Hello! Well Im a teacher in a public school. I think it may be becasue its just easy to call your friends your with all day. They see and know what all is going on all the time. I don't think they are ingoreing you, they just have firends that are going through what they are too. Try to get more involed in things they do and even maybe with their other friends.
