hello... you sound very mature...and i just want to tell you you're not alone...i have problems with my feet making exercise hard...but do-able... how about just walking? maybe even marching a little...just for maybe 10 minutes a few times a day...just start off slow...and you'll be surprised how after even a week you already start to build stamina...as far as eating... that's hard because your parents sound like they do the grocery shopping and aren't listening to you...adults can be stubborn and think we know everything..... i also am trying to improve my eating habits and relapse from time to time...can you get money to buy your own food? if so...maybe search online for some low calorie snacks/recipe ideas.... just remember...take is very slow...one minute at a time....and you will be on your way to feeling healthier...and maybe the symptoms of the fibromayalgia may lessen...good luck.... take care....

I'm not a doctor, but I've always believed with past girlsfriends that ask if they should lose weight that whatever you eat match it with some sort of physical activity. I understand you have fibromyalgia, so you will know when to stop. Try to eat dinner way before you go to bed so you don't go to sleep right after having your last meal for the day. Try taking leisurly walks from time to time. In the beginning, it may seem tedious but as you do it more it will become easier and you should see results. If you are able join a gym and encourage yourself to ride the stationary bike. When it comes down to it, the choice is yours and so is the responsibilty. You know the foods you should and should not eat, it may be hard to resist but you can do it. You have to cut out the foods that are not good for you a little at a time.

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age). Get latest info like American Heart Association does not want you to eat more than 6 ounces daily of meat, fish or poultry. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat. All of the above are great suggestions! To add something thought, try to find a support system outside of your parents. Even an online group helps. Lowcarbfriends.com is a good site and you don't even have to be on a lowcarb diet. the message boards there are full of advice and inspiring stories.
Don't give up and be strong!! :)

Ask your mother if you can go to the grocery store and choose your own items. You can start by counting calories and starting to look at the servings on boxes. You shouldn't be eating more than 1200 calories daily. Count those and plan your meals daily and remember how long it took you to put on the weight. Kudos to you for trying.

1. dont eat the junk food your parents buy.
2. have them buy you some good food like veggies to snack on instead.
3. drink water (maybe some crystal light or something) not any sodas or sugary drinks
4. walk around the block a few times, any activity is better than none.
