Some people might go to places walking because the place is near or we might go back another generation and start using bicycles and use solar energy because oil ran out. Sometimes I think the world is going of its limits sometimes. Why not live in peace and use natural things like houses from wood and live in the jungle like a world there. No need for cement and these stuff to survive .Wooden houses are much better then cement and beside we could live in the jungle with the animals help them breed.Don't u think so with me?

War, it will be wars for oil.
How about the sun is running out of it's fuel?

The world will inevitably transfer to another form of fuel, by necessity. At this point it's unclear what that will be.

Note that we WILL run out of oil within our lifetimes - there are approximately 1.3 trillion barrels of oil reserves in the world, and current consumption is about 80 million barrels a day. This is only 44 years of oil, not very much. It's true that new discoveries happen every year, but the discovery rate has been declining sharpy since about the 1960s - it's now only 10 billion barrels per year, well below the consumption rate of 30 billion. The latter will only climb (as, e.g., India and China develop), and the former will only shrink (simple physics - we've explored most of the oil-rich regions, there's not much left to find). So it's not very long before we finish every last drop of oil. Of course, as oil becomes scarce, the price will climb so high that it will become uneconomical long before it is completely used up.

It'll probably be replaced with some combination of renewables (wind, solar) and nuclear energy; at least this is as much as we are able to see at the moment. This is a serious problem, though, as there are no sources of energy as abundant, portable and rich as petroleum. "Synthetic" oil is obviously not a solution since it requires energy to manufacture (as does "hydrogen" fuel, or ethanol, etc.).

As to your suggestion that we "live in peace" and build wood houses and live in the jungle, where we can help the animals breed - I think the reasons we don't do this are (1) there are way too many people in the world to live in this fashion sustainably; we simply cannot all live off the land. We must have agriculture and food distribution networks, etc., to feed ourselves. And (2) people like having security from cold, hunger, disease, not having their houses washed away in a flood or blown down by a hurricane. Concrete is good for those things. Also (3) people like not being eaten by wild animals. I think maybe you've been watching too many Disney cartoons...

Thing is it will never run completely dry in the typical sense of the word.....it will however reach a point where it becomes more expensive to extract the oil than the companies are making off of if profit wise...........some people actually believe/argue that Peak Oil was reached just this last December.
Hopefully people will come to their senses by then and start doing more research into improving mileage in automobiles....or even fuel cells....because we as a people are generally speaking getting lazier and the odds that people are going to start walking/biking more are fairly slim

Black Penquin,
First synthetic oil (man made) has been used for many years. We will have a new energy source that will replace oil when that time comes. Oil is the cheapest form of energy at the present time and when the time comes, what ever energy that is the cheapest to produce will be the most manufactured. Weather it be solar, battery, hydogen or something else, believe me there will be something that will replace oil when necessary.

Wind energy is the ultimate answer to no oil. Wind can make electricity. Electricity can run cars. (Check out Tulsa Motors.) Electricity can be changed into heat to heat homes. There needs to be more insulation of buildings to prevent heat loss in winter, and to keep the cool of cooled air inside house or apartment in the summertime.Plants such as corn can be made into ethanol for fuel. Soybean plants can be grown to produce biodiesel fuel. Other technolgies include Geothetmal (heat from the earth to produce electricity) , Boimass, Fuel Cells and conversion of Coal to Liquid(s) (fuels).

There will be another form of fuel widely used before the worlds oil supply run out.
Hydrogen for example

Well, you and I will be long gone before we run out of oil. They keep finding more and more oil fields. Say it ain't so
