No the rapture is not coming. The rapture is not a biblical concept, but is instead a theory formulated by Christians who subscribe to a form of hermeneutics called premillennial dispensation, where Jesus will cause all of his believers to bodily ascend into heaven just before what is commonly referred to as the Tribulation period. The Tribulation period is a time of great suffering for mankind, where the Antichrist will have dominion over the earth and spread his tyranny. The Tribulation period ends when Jesus comes back to earth, and overthrows the Antichrist, and rules his earthly kingdom for one millennium.
The actual concept of the Rapture is not specifically mentioned in the Bible, but is in fact based on a loose interpretation of a few Biblical passages that are wrenched out of context. You shouldn’t spend your time concerning yourself with such a farfetched interpretation of the Bible. Use scripture as a moral compass for living, and use it to inform you of spiritual truths. Do not use the Bible as means of fortunetelling or as away to give credence to doomsday scenarios worthy of the most tacky Hollywood filmmaking.

Dear selfinjur,
Yes, it is almost here! If you have studied your Bible, you will also find that the "rapture" is the last day or Judgment Day (end of world). Please see these Scriptures:
**John 5:27-29
John 6:39
John 6:40
John 6:44
John 6:54
John 11: ..the verse says ..and I will raise him up at the
last day.
John 12:48
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
1 Corinthians 15:51-53
You see both the unsaved and saved will raised on the last day. The saved who are still on earth will get their glorified bodies and meet Christ in the air. Those already in heaven will also receive their glorified bodies. The unsaved whether in the grave or alive will also be assembled. Remember some of the unsaved have been buried at sea or cremated--their bodies have to be resurrected to stand for judgment.
The point I want to make is that the "rapture" occurs on the last day or Judgment Day (end of the world). From everything that we read in the Bible to this present day, it appears that 2011 seems to be a good candidate for Christ's return. The flood of Noah occurred in 4990 B.C. Read 2 Peter 3:5-12. If we add 7000 years to that date, we arrive at 2011 A.D. (I am not giving a day or hour, but a year).
"If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Ah, the rapture.
Many christians, and theologians believe that the end is near, try googling it for best answers, but i'll give you mine..
Yes the Rapture is comming, thats enveditable, the real questions is when. Jesus said it himself, "no one will know the time, not even the Son, only the father in heaven knows" -Matthew chp 24ish?
However, according to a lot of theologians, and the book of daniel, with the book of revelations, have concluded that everything that has taken place all the prophecies for the rapture to happen, have come to past, meaning its really soon, however now its the time where Anti-Christ will work himself up in power, (he has to make the world united in peace) thus why everyone freaked out when Lebannon talked peace... So, when that happens.. BAM the rapture....its comming though..Just believe in Christ, and be safe, don't worry about tomorrow, for today is enough to worry about.

Yes....tomorrow, or maybe it was yesterday, or the day after tomorrow, or next week or next year or in a hundred years. We do not know the exact time it will come like a thief in the night but it will come....we see terrible things happening right now....but are they so terrible as to be the indicators of the rapture I do not know.

Yes, but not as most believe. According to rapture teaching, some people will be removed from the earth, while others will remain.
They have it backwards as to who is removed and who will remain.
The wicked will be removed; the righteous will remain.
Jesus confirmed this.

Nope. There isn't any evidence to support a concept of a "God", let alone the Christian God, let alone the tale of the rapture.
Rather than worry about that, would it not be better to put time into our communities and try to feed those who go hungry every day? They actually face a real looming disaster...

Check your history. Has any event in history been cataclysmic? Or is it more likely to be slow evolution from one stage to another?
