he was looking down at his mourners, who were mumbling and whining, and saying "oh, why does he have to die???"
his last words were "Well, maybe I wouldn't have to if someone would grab a ladder and a pair of pliers!"
(NOW...you wanna see what's REALLY funny about this question? look at the people who are answering seriously. the people who think they know the answer. and look how different their answers are. is it obvious to you, yet, how ridiculous, inaccurate and misunderstood the bible really is?)

Because everyone (including me and you) are so sure our interpretations of Jesus' message are the right ones.
You say Jesus' (last) words were about unity and getting along, but other people believe Jesus was all about conquest and division. (Not me - I'm with you!)
Since we all bring our own agenda into our readings of the Bible, people can't agree on their interpretations and fight against what they perceive to be the wrong views. Thus, even Christians can't always get along with each other.

Probably a scxream or two while getting the nails driven in. Once he was up on the cross, he couldn't have said anything. His body weight was being supported by his spread arms. The weight of his own body would have made it difficult to even breathe, much less actually speak.

We'll never know, yet another case of contradictions in the bible...
Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Luke 23:46
And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
John 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Get it straight!!!

"It was Clinton's fault." At least, those are the only words spoken by those who think Bush is Jesus's older brother.

Why we answer these questions is beyond me . I guess we hope that you are on the fence and want to believe, and are looking for help.... in your weird way. From my readings there were two different accounts ( 3 gospels ) . Either '' it is done '' or '' my GOD, why hast thou forsaken me ? )

actually i belive they were "my god, why have you forsaken me?"
but close. jesus wants us all to be one. unfortunately, like he said...the truth is divisive. you're on one side of the fence or the other.
he came to bring a sword...to seperate the good from the bad.
