i keep having dreams that i'm grabbed by this guy (a cross between a good friend of mine and a character from a tv show) and he shoves me into a car before going into a shop to get fags. i escape from the car and run away. i dial 999 but it goes through to my nan (odd, i know). i find this group of people who promise to stay with me til the police arrive but the guy finds me n i run off again screaming then wake up.

It is unlikely that anyone will be able to arrive at a meaningful explanation on a forum like this one. Two people can have the same dream and yet mean different things to each of them.
Think of each scene you remember. Think of each character. Relate them to your daily life. Do you remember controlling the dream at any time; changing the direction of the story, or changing a character? Why? For instance, when you called for help and got you nan, was that a semi-conscious decision that you used to control the dream or were you shocked in the dream when she answered?
You will likely be able to relate this dream to some recent events since it has been recurrent. It may help you understand a situation or how you feel, or help you realize something, however, it will not be any sort of clairvoyance or prophecy.

This is quite simple you are grabbed by the guy because you are waiting for the right guy who is slightly a celeb and totally your friend. He shoves you into the car coz you are used to be treated badly. He buys fags coz thats the guy you don't want You call the police but your nan who is the only one you trust is there to help. The group of people represent the fear that you can not trust anyone. Unreliable and untrustworth. The police let you down also. You feel alone and there is noone out there for you.

this guy also = desire, jealousy
run away = evaison of responsiblities
group of people who promise to stay = your support (short term)
Looks like you have some problem with something you don't get. You projected this guy, a tv show star, to be a bad guy. It symbolizes your fear, insecurity and jealous about things you don't achieve in reality. You are seeking for support now. There are certain people you trust. Rnow, you are looking
for someone that is closed to you to support you. However, you may not get it because the guy found you (or it means your guilt conscience happes again in some way)
In conclusion, it is repetitive dream and it is unresolved issue. There may be someone you don't trust or get jealous about in your life that you can't over with. You are looking for people who can listen to your inner feeling for the moment now. If you can't get it, your probably will have this dream again. Whatever that is, you should know better.
Of course, if you have watched similar movies lately, that would just mean a play back of your movie experience

This dream is a jumbled up mishmash of past and present, hopes and dreams, fear and longing scary nightmare of your disjointed thought processes.
This is my explanation. See if it applies to you.
I find that people will often try to process every single information they are exposed to, natural and artificial. and that is normal. This happens more in sensitive and intelligent minds, or those who have not been jaded from bombardment of ideas and tittilating situations from TV or movies.
Sometimes when the analytic thought is interrupted for some reason ( the phone rings, someone talks to you, or you consciously stop because you dont want to pursue a particular train of thought )- those snippets of unresolved processes come out in a dream.
Therefore, along this line of reasoning, what are your unresolved thought processes?
1. Some danger around you
2. If this happens, must go to someone who you always felt safe (or not) around you (Nana)
3. Wish you have a friend like the guy inTV show who is strong
4. Have to go shopping with mom or dad or big sister tomorrow.
5. Hate shopping . They like clothes that make me look like a ***.
6. She'll have to drag me to go shopping. I will scream.
Conclusion- Soldier it through. It might not be as bad as you imagine it will be.

Most dreams don't have any real deep meaning. They are just the way your mind relaxes. I know Sigmund Freud thought all dreams had meanings of a sexual nature, but sometimes a banana is just a banana. Unless you are waking up terrified (night terrors), don't worry about it. If you are having bad nightmares, see your doctor. If not just enjoy the "TV" shows your mind produces just for you.

Have you had a bad experience with a male family member in the past? Have you performed on stage at any time? These could be factors. Also, it may be that you have a fear of committing to a relationship. If it continues, seek counseling. Good luck.

If you were kidnapped in your dream, you are likely to be embarrassed by the company you have been keeping, a change of companions would probably be beneficial.
