So many people say it's the law that you are not to come into this country illegally, so who cares if you get deported and ripped away from your families, or leave your children behind with no one to support them...well then let me ask this.... If you always stand behind something just because it is the law then I guess you also agreed with slavery in the old days... Also, I guess that means that it was okay when the law said that christians couldn't pray in their homes back in the old Soviet Union, and I guess it was also okay when Hitler took thousands of Jews from their homes and tortured and killed them, because after all, that was his law. Here in our own country thousands of people had to go AGAINST the law during the Civil Rights movement, just so that everyone could be considered equal, I guess if you idiots think that the law is so wonderful all the time, and you have to follow it no matter what, then you also would've agreed with all these things....?

First of all, they brought it all on themselves if they are "ripped away" from their families. They know the consequences of entering a country illegally. Don't try and put their problems on us - we're not the ones who are forcing them to break the law. They should of thought twice before coming here and popping out their anchor babies.

We have set laws here - stop trying to twist them around to benefit yourself.

Just because I believe in following the rules doesn't mean I was all for slavery. I'm ashamed of it and I'm glad it no longer goes on. Don't even TRY to associate that with this issue here. The Civil Rights movement was directed toward blacks - and they just happened to be citizens of the US. Don't compare the CRM to immigration and laws.

Illegal immigration is wrecking our country.. not to mention half of them could be sex offenders and murderers.

What do the Jews/Nazi's and slavery have to do with immigration? If you ask me - these illegals have it pretty dang good considering they just had to break a law to get a whole free meal ticket.

The examples you gave were unfair laws. There is nothing unfair about having restrictions on how many people can immigrate here. Also, people in the civil rights movement fought for rights in their own country, not another country where they had no rights.

US citizens break the law every day! It's not cause it's the law they say it because it's the only thing they do have to make a point.

Illegal Aliens have no right to be here, hence no right to break and/or try to change our laws.

Additionally, slavery is clearly wrong...and allowing illegal immigration to occur is condoning slavery, because that's just what businesses want, labor so cheap, they are basically slaves.

Coming to this country illegal to better your own way of life in no way can be compared to the horrors of slavery. No ones forcing an illegal to leave his/her home.No ones going to kill them if they don't stay in their home country?(at not any country you can get here by foot)The civil rights you desire need to fought for in your own country. An illegal immigrant has no civil rights in this country. They are criminals and they are committing a crime by being here.
If you want civil rights then stay in your own country and demand them, fight for them in your own country. In this country you are an illegal nothing more and you in no way deserve the same rights as a legal citizen.Do your demanding in your own country not here where you are an illegal immigrant/alien.
The Jews were not illegal aliens they were not criminals and their plight can in NO way be compared to that of an illegal sneaking into this country.
Get your facts straight, the illegal isn't a martyr hes a criminal guilty of breaking the laws of this country not a saint, not some icon,an illegal is just that an illegal criminal.

And just because some one doesn't share your "views" doesn't make it OK to insult them by calling them idiots.
No one has called you any names.

Your main difference between illegals and slaves is that slaves were FORCED to be here. No one forced the illegals to swim the river. No one forced them to bring their families here. No one forced them to HAVE families and "settle in".

Bringing in laws of other countries is irrelevant.

Perhaps if you actually had a job and paid taxes, you'd have a better understanding of exactly what all these illegals are costing the hard-working taxpayers of this country.

As someone who is not only a Mexican immigrant but one with black relatives.. let me let you know that this issue is nothing like the civil rights debate and you should be ashamed of comparing the two. Blacks did not overtake the streets waving African flags and demanding that everyone kiss their feet and speak their language. I have had to work so hard just to assimilate and it's uneducated people like you who make us all look bad. Please stop.

Wow, theres another way of looking at things. You may get attacked for this one but you did make some good points although I do believe there are certain laws which we should be able to bend a bit including some immigration laws, but then there are laws that for the good of all people here should HAVE to be obeyed. I do see where youre coming from though.

GREAT POINT!!! I guess it would make them republican if they stand behind the law like that. Most of them (not all) have roots that goes back to slavery and the Confederacy. Others are just plane a$$holes
