I used to live in Northern CO. Loveland/Fort Collins area to be exact. I know that both cities have free concerts every once in a while. Fort Collins has a summer free concert thing where they have concerts and music and stuff in Old Towne. Check with the city websites - they would have info about free concerts and plays. Most free concerts and plays that I went to were in the summer. The Symphony can be expensive - though I got in for $7 because I was a student. But it is well worth the money - the symphony orchestra is awesome.

In Loveland, they do some free plays at the Foote Lagoon as well as some free concerts. But most concerts and plays I paid for - and it was worth it. The Loveland Chamber Orchestra costs about $10 - $15 to get in and so does the band. I think the Loveland community plays are around that much as well.

You also might check out the website for CSU - there are often free plays, concerts, and recitals that you can attend. Go to the Music, Theatre, and Dance department on the CSU website for a list of things you can attend - it will say whether or not it's free. The concerts and plays that aren't free usually are fairly cheap - I think the CSU orchestra, band, and choir concerts are $10 - $15 as are the plays.

If you live near Estes Park - the Stanley Hotel has free concerts and recitals every Friday (as I remember). Give them a call or check out their website.

If you don't live anywhere near any of those cities - then go to your city's website and see what it has to offer. I think Greeley also has some nice concerts and plays that you can go to.
