I avoid that situation - I never touch public doorknobs.... at least not with my hands.... I have mastered the art of opening doors using my elbows.

(I'm dead serious)

Ya know.....it's a pretty good idea to wash after using ANY public doorknob, regardless of it's texture.

Not that I'm trying to turn everyone into manic OCD uber-washers or anything......

But sticky or slimy? Yeah, that's a trip to the lavatory.

Unless, of course, you're already IN the lavatory.....which is an awful thought.

That depends on the color and odor of the slimy, or sticky material, and how the last person was using it.

Yes of course, wash straight away dont delay. In fact I have to say there is nothing better than giving a knob a good wash. I say to everyone, get your knobs out and start washing now !
