is it wrong to date an ex's friend if you have been broken up for about 1 year?

we had chemistry before but nothing was pursued....now a year later we have come into contact again and are making plans to hang out, is this okay or am i stepping on the ex's toes. they were not very close friends.

I don't think that it's wrong at all. You and your ex didn't work out, so you're free to date whomever you want.
