I plan on visiting Rome, Florence, Pisa, Milan, and Venice. The first time I was in Europe I had very little trouble finding film but never ventured to Italy. Is it redily available at newstands, etc.?

Yes, don't worry. I went to Rome, Florence, Pisa, and Assisi (though you are not going there) and there was film everywhere....especially at the main sights.

Nah, if you are going to spring for an Italian vacation, do it right and upgrade to digital. The expense will more than cover itself when you don't have to pay the outrageous cost of APS film & developing of that film. Plus, you will know you got the photo you want before it is too late. Kodak makes a good digital (Easy Share) with a memory card that holds 400 photos + can do video.

As far as i know, you should not have troubles findind advantix films 200/25 adn 200/40 for about 6 euros (7.50 dollar).
I fear they are limited to photografic shops (the digital cameras are going quite strong nowadays) so it would be be better if you bring some films from home, because during the weekends the specialistic shops are closed.

Have fun!

I think you should bring your films. Your toothpaste. And some sodas, in Italy we do not have any. Hamburgers too. Ah ok also mirrors, alarm clocks and glass beads, we love them...;-)
Relax my friend and enjoy your trip. You will find everything in Italy except starbucks and taco bells (luckily), and you'll see that most things like food and clothes have a much better price/quality ratio than in the US (as an average).
Just bring what you really need plus a good guidebook: that will really help. Have a nice trip.

To intricate; They have not made action picture for this undertaking in lots of years. Kodak went abdomen-up and no repairer will touch it. even whilst new, it became a b*tch. Kodak made super action picture, yet awful cameras.
