the question is.....What does it accomplish when you try and prove the bible false, or tell people that there is no God?

And the reverse for the religious fanatics ... what does it accomplish to try and prove the bible is true? ... or that God really does exist ... whether you believe or not, the problem is arguing about it. NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE!! ... Just be tolerant and respectful of each other's own beliefs.

They try to place themselves above everyone else, including God and the Bible.

When I see people in the grip of a dangerous delusion, I feel the need to set them free. If people start to think about their faith and ask questions, they will either come away from that questioning with a stronger, more meaningful faith, or they will become free of religion and all its guilt and fear. Sems like a win/win to me.
