Your hair will be absolutely fine, especially if you use a good conditioning treatment following the colour. But a word of warning - have the colour done professionally, as when you go from Blonde to Brown you must have a certain amount of red added - otherwise your hair will be a muddy, khaki green (not very attractive!)

I just did the same thing this summer. My hair looks healthier and shiny, but the brown fades and I end up looking blond again after a month or two! Mine also got a redish tint around the top! I don't know why that happened though.

yes it should be fine but if you want to be safe use a ash blonde to tone it down first then do a brown after my daughter-in -law is a hair dresser and she did this for me it turned out gr8 and it is in really good condition as the ash blonde gives it a base so you are not dying over par oxide and looks more natural as hair has flecks of the ash blonde shades in as well hope this helps Hun good luck

i dyed my hair dark brown two weeks ago from being a blonde bomb shell, and it went fine, infact my hair looks in better condition now than it did when i was having highlights, because i'm not bleaching the hair no more. i love it. Then my mate had hers done the next day and hers went fine too.
so try not to worry x.

Dye is dye, no matter if you go darker or lighter. Your hairdresser will know what to do for you. If you have always used the same person, you should be fine. Just tell him/her what you want, and the will work with you from there.

It will be fine, as long as your hair is pretty healthy. Ask the hairdresser before she does it. She should be able to tell you if your hair is healthy enough to do so. Good luck.

going brown will actually be better for ur hair as if you have ur hair bleached to get it blonde it is that, that does the damage, i had the same problem, the only side affect i have is that the brown dye wears off on the highlighted parts of my hair first

putting brown on top if blonde you risk it going green,i went to a hair dressers to get my done and ended up with khaki hair and the hairdresser had to cut out what she could,it was awful i cried but she wouldnt admit she fcuked up and i had to pay £40.00 for green hair.

It will actually not hurt you hair at all. They will most likely use a demi permanent hair color beause blonde hair is very porous and will absorb the brown color very easily and quickly.
Do you know what demi-permanent color is?
Demi-permanent color penetrates the hair shaft slightly, depositing color that is the same darkness level or darker than your natural hair color. Color is long-lasting (four to six weeks), and there's no demarcation line. If you need any more info, just ask I can give you what you need.
