Maybe they are picking on him because his mom cannot write in English?

Find the route of the problem. The bad eating habits either come from home or are psychological. He may have an eating disorder. Girls are not the only ones who have them and YES you can get them at a young age. I have had one since I was 7 years old.
You need to talk to your son about what HE wants to do. If he seems depressed you should take him to a psychologist and let them to talk to him. I would also try enrolling him in a sport like football, where it is GOOD to be big.

Although I am a girl I was quite big at that age and from the time I was 8. I was 5' tall and about 105 lbs. I have only grown 3 inches since then, but have stayed the same weight. It may be something he will grow out of, without any pills(I do not think that is right that you are pushing those on him)

hello, if your son has adhd and bi polar does he use a medication ? any medication?? besides this growth pill?? maybe the mix of these meds are not helping the weight either might check into that. just curious my son has adhd and so do I. at this point we don't take anything. not that we haven't. i know that bi polar meds can put weight on you.. anyway, everything everyone else said about getting him busy in a sport or something healthy eating healthy are all really great advice.. and Love him Unconditionally!! I am sure you already know this. :) I used to get called Bean pole my sister was called fat we both got it she hated it I hated it.. talk with your son find out what is fun for him. really listen though . maybe there is something else bothering him?? be open and honest .. I am no dr. but Having 2 sons myself.. and lots of different reasons.. the listening to them helps them know you care.. as far as those other children that are not very nice, they have nothing better to do i guess.. and I remember those kind of kids being mean to me. i even had one looking for me when I got older to actually apologize to me.. and he did.. I forgave him for being so mean.. just be there for him if it is diet change it and yes have a fun day where he can enjoy some junk food.. I hope the best for you!! and I don't care if you speak or write english the way you do, I grew up with most of the time my grandparents who spoke pigeon english . so that was not very nice of the person even answering your question.. sorry but it is true that was not nice. again i wish the best for you !! just my opinion .. hope some of it helps :)

Are there pills that will make you taller? I've never heard of that. I would just try to watch what he eats for him. You're the mom, make sure you offer healthy meals and snacks. Try getting him involved in some activity that he enjoys where he can make some friends. You might want to mention it to his teacher, she ought to be able to put a stop to any bullying at school.

For Lady Day: 5'3" and 105lbs is NOT big. Neither is 5' 105 lbs, pretty tall for 8, but NOT TOO big.

im sorry but kids become obbesse because there parents allow them to get that way and if he doesnt think that he is ok maybe its because your feeding an 11 year old pills to make him taller what kind of message do you think that sends its not ok to be short here take a pill but its fine to be fat? get your child active get the junk food out of your house its not about eating like a rabbit but you also dont want food to be his only friend just get a grip get active and for gods sake get your kids off the pills.

what pills is he taking to get taller? There is no magic pill for this and at 11 his body is still growing and taking a pill to get taller or lose wait could effect his growth. If he is overweight start cooking heathier foods get rid of junk food get him outside to exercise and play. Remind him that being overweight is something he can change if he wants to and show him how to do it the right way.

First off, I know you love your son more than anything in the world...so it's hard for you to see obvious things, and even harder to do them. Taking a pill to get taller is only confirming that he is too short. Your telling him, by giving him this pill that he needs it. Not to mention side effects that could pop up later in life.
Every child gets teased in school. I got teased for being too skinny. It was very hard, I had like one friend and she got to hang out with the cool kids one day and came to tell me that nobody liked me and I couldn't hang out with her anymore. :( But, it made me a more compasionate person. There is nothing harder than your child coming home from school with hurt feelings. But no matter what he looked like, it would still happen. The best thing you can do is to teach him tolerance and acceptance of others, teach him that he is rubber and they are glue. :) There is a wonderful book by Max Lucado entitled, You are special. It is amazing!!!! It teaches a wonderful lesson that children can understand. At least look it up online. If you are afraid of hurting his feelings by monitering what he eats, don't be! Your the parent and it is a scientific fact that children will not feel safe unless there are set bounderies. Your the one who does the grocery shopping, by healthy foods and limit what he eats. You can by snacky stuff too for when he is really good or something, it would suck not to be able to eat what you like. But if he doesnt' learn good habbits now, he will resent you when he grows up, for not controlling it for him, for allowing him to get that way. Be the parent, step up to the plate and help your son. Good luck.

well, if you think that if he is overweight maybe you should try excersing with him or walking, running at the park. Teach him how to make healthy decision and how taking pills to make him taller is not going to help. Let him feel secure of himself and that you love him very much. He needs to know everyday that you love him and that kids who pick on him are kids who don't show respect for others.

Gosh, kids can be so mean! I would make sure he knows that he is loved by you no matter how he looks and that looks don't matter. Tell him to be proud of the way God made him. As far as the other kids go... maybe he can answer with... well, at least I am smart ! Good luck

You need to bulk up his self esteem any way you can. Maybe help him start exercising, or get him involved in a sport. Find what he is good at and get him involved in more of it. Art classes, Karate, Sports, whatever he likes. Weight is a hard issue at any age.

Good luck

build up his self esteem for people will always pick on others throughout life whether it be weight, IQ, etc. You need to begin teaching him the importance of believing in himself and how to handle the ignorance of others. Look into capturing kids' hearts and Teen Leadership programs...........it will change his life and yours forever.
