I have one and it's been fine. If you had it put in on the first day of your period it will work immediately, otherwise it should work in around 4 weeks. It does take a while for your cycle to get used to it, and maybe a little irregular. I found mine stopped completely with occasional lightness, which is very unpredictable. All in all its much better than taking a pill everyday!

Implant as interior the rods on your arm? Or an IUD/coil? you do not opt for to be utilising the two Implanon and beginning administration pills. that's too many hormones and not the final stability of hormones. Did the surgeon who prescribed your pills know you already had the implant? And in case you advise an IUD -- mutually as there isn't any inherant risk is utilising the two, it quite is probable not mandatory. in case you do in contrast to your implant, have it bumped off and turn to a distinctive technique that greater effectual meets your needs.

i have one. it works immediately, and is ineffective as soon as it is removed.
i find that my periods are a little irregular but my body is always good at giving me warning (tender boobs... you know the drill)
I always use condoms as well though. best thing is to think like you dont have one. that way you will double up and not end up pregnant. its like the best back up plan.
The only down side is weight gain. it is very gradual. for the first year you dont notice but half way through the second you ask.... hey, wasnt i 20lbs smaller before i had this thing put in? lol!
It can make your periods stop completely if you are a very petit person, but the will come eventually as your body gets used to it.
so good call. best thing i ever did (was a nightmare at forgetting my pill) and good luck...
Respect your body and respect yourself

No, I know several people who had it and they all put on about 4-5 stone while it was in so there is no way that would be coming near me!

I had one, but got it removed because of my heavy period for 5 months straight! Hopefully you have better luck. The upside is that it works right away.
