FIRST, NEVER USE CHEAP TEQUILA!
try Patron or Cabo Wabo, the other stuff is just plain gross and gaggy
any kind of pureed fruit margarita, for example: (a personal party favorite)
Emeril's Layered Margaritas Recipe courtesy Emeril Lagasse
1 (12-ounce) can frozen limeade
1 1/2 cups premium 100 percent agave tequila
3/4 cup Grand Marnier, or triple sec
Ice
8 lime wedges
1/2 cup coarse salt
1 cup strawberry puree, recipe follows
1 cup mango puree, recipe follows
4 strawberries
4 mango slices
In a blender, combine limeade, tequila, and Grand Marnier. Fill with ice and blend until smooth.
Place the coarse salt in a shall dish or saucer. Wet the rim of 4 glasses with a lime wedge and dip the glass into the salt to coat.
Pour about 1/4 cup of the margarita into each glass. Top with about 1/4 cup of the strawberry puree. Top with more margarita followed by the mango puree. Top with the remaining margarita.
Garnish with a strawberry on the rim of the glass and a slice of mango.
Strawberry puree:
2 pints strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons sugar

Trust me if you are looking for a good margarita, DONT use patron or quervo or any of those bunk tequilas!
Go for Corizone silver (its incredibly smooth)
if you like dark stuff go for the Don Julio
Mix 1 part Corzone with 2 parts margarita mix
shake well with ice.
pour into salted glass and garnish with lime.
BUT WAIT
make sure you put a float of CONTREAU it adds a fruity and delish kick!!!
or for an ultimate margarita
use equal parts:
cabo wabo tequila, contreu, margarita mix
and add a splash of triple sec...
shake well with ice and serve same s b4

Tequilla sunrise. But honestly higher end tequillas don't give that nasty tequilla burn. Check out Sauza comemorativo, Herradura, Patron or Don Julio. Sauza commemoritivo is the cheapest and really tastes good in margaritas, sunrises and other drinks. And you don't have to drowned out the taste to get rid of that nasty burn. And of course you have less chance of a hangover.

Use Patron` and margarita mix. Patron` is smooth and tasty. Use the Silver Patron`, it's a white tequila, you can drink it straight. Only use Patron` if you can afford. If you can't afford Patron`, use Jose Cuervo.
