Did you install it? Was it difficult?
Value for price?

We are using Kricsoswiss... I may have spelled it wrong- it's
Distributors AAA- sell it on ebay. 79 cents a square foot!!

We installed it- it was difficult to start but once we got a hand of it- it went much faster.. You have to get use to the product... it doesn't snap together as easy as on TV.

It hasn't scratched and it looks great.

I heard Pergo brand was the worst because it's soo expensive to glue the padding to the wood that they have to lessen the quality of the wood to produce it. So I won't get anything that had the padding attached to it.

Bruce laminate floors are very nice. They have laminates and real wood. Also, Armstong, Pergo and Wilsonart are excellent quality in laminates.
Keep in mind that a laminate wood floor has only a very thin layer of the real wood. The rest of it is layers of resin or some type of manufactured woods. When they scratch you really can't sand them and refinish them. As far as being scratch resistant that would depend on the actual amount of acrylics and other finishes used on the top layer along with how it is applied -- infused into the wood layer or just topically. Here are some links.

Do some research first to see which floor will fit your needs. Home Depot and Lowes carry most brands. Ask one of the managers in the flooring department about them.

Keep in mind that laminate wood floors are not really scratch resistant. Even Hardwood floors aren't. However it is easier , we discovered, to treat and repair scratches on hardwood than on the laminate product.

dupont makes a great laminate floor. i just installed abot 400 square feet in my house. only took about 4 hours. not that hard to do. i went with the dupont from a friends recomendation he installs floors for a living. plus the dupont has the padding allready glued to the panel, rather than putting the padding down, and then trying to put the flooring down over it with out ripping. home depot sells it.

stay away from the order on line places. if you have a problem it is your problem. if you go to depot, or lowes, or anothe retail type if there is aproblem they should be able to help you out

The life span of any wood finishing will be increased if you ensure that the floor is protected from intensive wear and tear. Direct sunlight fades the finish and eventually will need to be refinished.
