If my experience will help you here goes... My oldest son has been helping take care of his younger brother and sister since they were 2 and 3. Just set up foods that can be nuked or easily made or even sandwiches with veggies and dip. Keep a list of numbers for your daughter to call even if it is a close neighbor that could pop in . My son is now 12 and his brothers 6 and sisiter's7. Don't worry she will be fine! An older child is a heaven -sent to babysit. And if it is one night of quick junk food so what she will be eager to do it again when you need a break from the house. This shows her responsibility and self-confidence.

Doesnt she live in same house with him? Dont they sit at the same table and eat dinner? I think your daughter not having as much trouble as you are with this. He's three years old should be eating almost everything any one else eats. And why the " our" what do you mean by that?

If you don't have enough confidence in your daughter about feeding your son, then you don't have enough confidence about leaving him with her.
