How old is your puppy? Young pups need to be taken out every 2-3 hours, and after they wake up, after they eat, and during play time.

I highly suggest crate training. It will keep accidents down to a minimum. You also need to buy Pet Force from http://www.frrco.com/121668 to treat the areas the pup has already soiled. It may take several applications for the older spots, but it's important to remove the smell of the urine to deter the dog from going their again.

Please email me at libertydogtraining@yahoo.com and I can guide you through crate training!

Keep it on a leash, even in the house, and tied to you all the time for a while. That way it can't get to the rest of the house to go. Also, you can catch the pup in the act and take it outside.
When you catch her going, and only if you catch her, yell "NO" and take her out. Praise her even if nothing else comes out. Go back in the house. No playing, she needs to learn the difference between potty time and play time.
Take her out after naps, meals, and anytime she has been alone. Stay out with her and say over and over "go potty" until she does, then back in the house. Again, no playing. Eventually she will go on command, which is easier for you.
When you have to leave her, put her in a crate or a bathroom. That way, you don't come home to a mess.
Have the puppy spayed or neutered when it is 4 months old. That will help potty training and make a happier, healthier pet.
Good luck

My boy pup did the same thing up until he was 6 months! We couldn't find a way to make him stop! We tried using pee pads, and he would use them sometimes and other times he would just shred them all over the place! Anyways, him and his sister just turned 1 and he hasn't pee'd on the floor in the last couple of months. Guess he finially snapped(stoped pee'n on the floor)!

Guess you could try pee pads and see how that works, other than that all I can do is wish you luck!!

Do not hit the pup or put his nose in his waste. I know someone who was bitten by her dog after she did this a few times. Most dogs I know end up hiding the "accidents" so that you won't find it and put his nose in it. Plenty of others just become afraid when you reach for them, even if to pet. Is this the kind of relationship you want with your pup?

As others have said, praise and reward when he goes outside. Prevent accidents by supervising and confining. And be patient. It will take a few months, but it will happen.

you can first have an area picked out where the bathroom area is going ot be. Dont move it around (if its an indoor dog) and then keep the pup in that area in confined for every so often and take your puppy out and then put it back so it knows where the bathroom is. And then make the area larger and larger till you dont have to put that cage up.
They also have those diapers for dogs you put on the ground....and you can also use newspapers.

But you have to leave the area (peepee area) at the same place and not move around.

good luck

The simple answer: Everything that goes in comes out. Regulate your dog's food and water intake and you'll also regulate his output. Other than that, other answers here offer good advice on dealing with this problem you seem to have.

You have to put the puppy nose in it and smack his butt and tell him no when you do it. Or if he does it you can put his nose in it and put him in a cage to let him know he can't do that. It worked with my dog.
