I really care for my girlfriend, and given my situation, I don't know what will show her that I really care for her- fighting for her or letting her go. Her happiness means a lot to me...

If her happiness means a lot to you then you have to ask her what would make her happy. Don't guess! Go right up to her and say
"do you think it would be best if we took some time apart or do you want to stay in this relationship and we can both try to make it work out."
It's truly the only way you'll know.

I do fight a little. I question the ones who leave me, investigate, and try to fix the problems because a lot of people are willing to just walk away from an issue or don't know how to deal with them at all. I'm not saying I would fight to be with them again in a romantic way but I will fight 100% to make ammends, end on friendly terms, or just restore a wonderful friendship in general. Does that make sense? I don't like feeling like I owe anybody anything, so I try to fix it if a friend, a family member, or a love of mine has any negative feelings towards me. I would try to be compassionate and never give up on somebody who once deeply cared about me.

well it sounds like you love her. im not sure the situation is but ask what you need to do to prove your love for her. spending time, telling her how much you care is always a good sign, give her a card/lettter. if u love her fight for her! but if it is something that is out of you control let her go so that she can be with someone that can be there for her. so that she can find happiness, but letting her know that you do this because she means the world to you and you want her to be happy. if she won't let you go and is upset then you know where yours hearts r...

You should never have to fight(physically) to prove your love . If your girlfriend is seeing someone then you need to move on. Her happiness means a lot to you but what does your happiness mean to her?Nothing! Communication and trust are the key to all relationships. The female is your lover and friend you should be able to ask her what she wants or what areas does she feel that your lacking in. If you are taking her for granted and someone is showing her how she need to be treated then you need to step up and show her that you want to be with her.

Every situation is different. You really will need to gauge this one based on the situation. If she is wanting something else then letting her go is what you need to do. But if she is feeling like you don't care then you need to fight for her. If it's a bit of both of those scenarios then you may need to ask her or maybe her best friend what she wants from you. Asking her opinion is also a big sign of love.

This love stuff is too complicated isn't it!! :-)

This is so tough I am going through the same thing myself and I want her so badly but I want her to be happy before considering my own want for her. I would fight for her but I don't want to push her out of my life so I am letting go but as for you you should tell her how you feel and don't try and force anything with her just let her be I tell myself and believe that if it's meant to be it will.

Really good question... I'd say fighting. First of all, it's a lot sexier to fight rather than give up, and it shows so much more character to persevere.

Different circumstances call for different actions. Of course easier said than done, but I would think let her go.
