I am not at all certain. There is no verifiable evidence for the existence of God, and I tend to rely upon evidence.

I was raised Roman Catholic, and as a child, I was persuaded, largely through fear, that god existed. I had an enormous difficulty with the notion of a loving god who seemed to delight in terrifying people, which led to my questioning the whole idea of faith.

I am occasionally of the opinion that there is a god when I hear of or witness some uncalled for act of love that goes beyond expectation, or when I become aware of the marvelous workings of the human mind as in the case of language, for example.

No. We all need something to believe in if that is what gets us through the day. That is why there is no right or wrong religion, because it is all about what choice people decide suits them best.

I do not believe in supernatural beings. I believe in living a full and moral life without superstition and guided by reason and compassion.

"I contend that we are all atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you.

When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."
