Personally I don't.
I may be burdened to pray for one or two folks here. God has even given me an inexplicable love for some - especially the unique personalities.
But at the end of the day, they're the ones writing their own ticket to hell and I'm not losing a wink of sleep over it.

How about you?

Flowers: Burdened is one thing, agonizing is another. I guess Paul was called to be burdened in that way. As for me, Jesus carried it to the cross, and I don't feel the need to agonize.

AndyMC: Do you really believe that, or is this just an opportunity to flatter yourself?

I don't lose any sleep at all. I have great sympathy for them because they either don't know the truth, or know the truth and don't want to accept it because then they would be held accountable. I pray for them that their eyes will be opened and that they will ba able to have a personal relationship with God.

First of all I am not an Atheist I am Agnostic. I won't bother to explain that because you seem to be the all knowing so I am sure you can figure that out on your own...

In the United States alone there are 4,684 different denominations of Christianity.

There are Plenty of other religions out there and they all claim to be the TRUE one.... In Fact if you would bother to read a Koran then you would know that Your God is the same God of Abraham and Isac.... Noah and Moses,,, The gangs all here....

Further the story of Christ mirrors Pagan Religion all the way back to Greek Mythology....

Zeus the most powerful of the Gods has a child Hercules with a mortal Virgin Alcmene..Hercules was both Mortal and God until he ascended to Mt Olympus to be a GOD.....

Your Bible contradicts its self hundreds of times....

I, unlike you, have studied Religious Anthropology and understand that if there is a hell then you have a better chance at winning the powerball than going to heaven,,,, or Purgatory....or is there a purgatory? Depends which Denomination you are???

I don't need you to pray to for me at all.... Don't waste your breath!!

Keep Laughing!!!

Figato, do you remember or have you read in the Bible where Paul stated he had wept over the people day and night with tears. It was their lack of belief in a God who really loved them. He had abused Jesus and tortured the saints prior to his conviction, but God said plainly that he had chosen Paul to carry the Gospel to the Gentiles. What about when Christ looked over the mountainside and was moved for compassion for the lost sheep? What about Jonah who at first disobeyed and did not care in the end whether or not Ninevah was spared? God asked him a stunning question: " And what is it to you that I want to save a nation who does not know their right hand from their left?"
If we as Christians do not lose sleep, who will. We are His hands, his feet, his heart, his love. Perhaps we need tears cried for ourselves, due to the lack of our compassion. I will be the first to admit that I do not perfectly live the Christian lifestyle, but after 44 years of being a Christ believer, worshiper, I have staying power. A helpful book to read on the subject of one's life as a witness is "Improving Your Serve", by Chuck Swindoll. Hope this did not impress you as judgmental.

Yet you felt motivated to post a question to tell us this. I think you protest too much-atheists bother you more than you are letting on, not because of their blasphemies but because they undermine the foundations of your faith with valid arguments.

Today's atheists are tomorrow's Christians. Especially after they read the Universal Theology of the New Jerusalem by Emanuel Swedenborg.

No it helps me to see the spiritual condition of this world and helps me to know how to pray for the people who are blinded by the enemy.

I don't because God tells me not to be anxious for anything. (Not that I have mastered the "not be anxious for anything," thing!)

But anyway, the only thing that troubles me is knowing that there are multitudes upon multitudes of lost people in the world and this is merely a sampling.

It breaks my heart. That's all. If it ever frustrates me or makes me angry, then I know I am in my flesh and need a break. But when my heart is grieved over all the bitterness and hatred toward God, then I know my heart is in a right place for God to use me.
