Or are we all destined to annoy women with our selective deafness for ever and ever?
I swear my girlfriend tells me really important stuff while I'm asleep or something. "I told you we were busy that night 3 weeks ago!" sort of thing. Or are they lying because women know they are smarter than us and can outwit us with an answer for everything?

To be honest mine doesn't listen to me either babe. It must be in the genes or something. But I got this in an email and believe me its all true...

FINE..this is the word women use to end an arguement when they are right and you need to shut up.

5 MINUTES.. If she is getting dressed, this means half an hour. 5 mins only means 5 mins if you have just been given 5 more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

NOTHING.. this is the calm before the storm. This means SOMETHING and you should be on your toes. Aruements that begin with NOTHING usually end in FINE.

GO AHEAD.. This is a dare, not permission. Don't do it!

LOUD SIGH.. this is not actually a word but a non verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A LOUD SIGH means she thinks you're an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here arguing with you over NOTHING.

THAT'S O.K.. this is the most dangerous statement that a woman can make to a man. THAT'S O.K means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you'll pay for your mistake!!

THANKS.. a woman is thanking you. Do not question it or faint. Just say you're welcome

Take it all on board babe and maybe you'll understand your girlfriend x x x

Invest in a dictaphone on which you state the date and time at the beginning then create a full tape library in your spare room in chronological order manned 24/7 by a qualified librarian. That should do the trick.

Simple, if you're interested in her, you'll actually be listening to her. It could be your own way to wweed out the women you may not really like.

But listen to her. Look at her when she speaks and not at that 22 year old with the tight buns two tables over.

I don't know but it really is one of the most annoying traits. Its not uncommon for me to have to tell my boyfriend something 3 or 4 times before he listens fully and it sinks in.

We women like to talk and at times too much. I know I like to vent alot and my husband looks like he is listening, but now I feel as long as I can talk I am fine. I think as long as we are right for each other we can get passed the other stuff.

Hon... women have built in calenders in our brains its rarely we forget 'important' dates/meetings.... the thing is with men is that unless it is of personal interest to you... you get selective deafness... (my partner does it but one way to cope is by making sure i have his full attention when im telling him things... often i stand topless and make him repeat what ive told him... obviously his main interest is my b*obs but hey it works)....

Geezer if you listened all the time your ear would hurt and you'd have grey hair. Selective deafness helps things along.
