If its working in a restaurant or doing home repair that we Americans don't want to do anymore you can't very well take it there.

As you know MANY jobs have been sent to Mexico. Please look at the tags of every garment that you buy. Also, look at the packages you pick up, in the stores.
Nobody is bringing the Mexicans here. There is an invasion... Sadly, most of the immigrants are illegal and causing a lot of strain on the American tax payers.

Outsourcing jobs to other countries is terrible. Why cheat the American workers out of jobs here? There are plenty of jobs here that can be done by Americans. Some of those jobs may not be very pleasant but a job is a job to pay the bills and there are always opportunities to better oneself. As far as the mexicans, we need to send them back to mexico to take care of themselves there. It is not our fault that their country is so poor and it should not be our responsibility to try to take care of them or any other country before we take care of the American people first. There are plenty of problems here that need to tackled first before we try to solve other country's problems.

I think having Mexico support its own people is a much better idea then having Mexicans work here illegally. Better for them, better for us. The problem is the Mexican government. The US should be concentrating More on Mexico (on our border) then on Iraq (thousands of miles away). oh, If only it WASN'T about the oil....

Why send any jobs there at all. We have many workers right here.
Service men coming home from a terrible war will need work.
When World war 1 was over the men came home to no work and
no help. We do not want this to happen again.

The US is already sending Jobs to Mexico. Actually the US is sending jobs all over the world because US corporations want to pay less than minimum wage for labor.

What's the difference? We sent jobs to Mexico via NAFTA, and the Mexicans still cross the border illegally. Pres. Fox encourages his people to cross into the US.

Sweety, both already happen. US companies have tons of laborers in Mexico--because the wages are cheaper for them.
And, we all know how many immigrants from Mexico are in this country working.

It is better to send the jobs to Mexico.
Then at least our own people maintain upward mobility through education which is becoming increasingly important in each successive generation. Illegal immigration and mass immigration of poor people ruins benefits and education for our own people.
Construction can't leave, and no one gives farm subsidies like we do, and McDonalds has to be where the people are to eat. Accordingly, I think we'll still have enough blue collor jobs for those who want them, since the population seeking those jobs would then be reduced to those legally here.
Mass immigration props up economic numbers in the short term when the impact is hale and hearty workers, so long as you ignore schools and health care costs (which are not tracked as economic indicators.) But as they age and bring in indigent family, you pay an exploding price in your social programs. We can't afford that price.
It's a pyramid scheme, or like running up credit cards. In the end you have to face the impact.
