The child will be dragged out for opportunistic photo-ops as long as he is photogenic.
Well, whatever gets you into the news . . .
Actually, as a retired journalist I have to say that, if I were running the newspaper I would NOT run any articles on her and her ilk unless they were legitimate news.

You write: "What happens to this child when she tires of him?"
Come on, I think she knows how to be a parent. She has 2 children already. Of course she's rich and famous, yeah so?
She will probably have nannies to care for the children - "bad mommy, bad mommy!" LOL!
The only thing I hate is that she seems to have totally circumvented the rules in adopting this child. Did she even have a home study done? She got away with adopting a Malawi child in a country that doesn't allow foreign adoptions! How did that happen?? Hmm..... money speaks in all languages.

I think she just paid the father of this child and the town to be able to get this done in 14 days rather than the 18 months like it should..theres alot of couples out there that have been waiting to adopt a child alot longer than Madonna has and she just got special priority because she's famous

It is the skankiest thing I have heard for a long time. The issues it raises - rich white woman come to poor third world country and uses her influence to bribe officials into ignoring that country's own legislation while the same time circumventing the vetting procedure.
As others have pointed out, this child does have family living, and she is so rich as to be no hardship to help them out so that they can keep him.
The arrogance is staggering, and all the window dressing charity stuff does not hide this. If she can do it, so can any paedophile with sufficient influence and she has flagged it up to the sex trade pervs of the entire world that this country will sell you a child if the price is right.

Great painting.
Oh, sorry, that Madonna. Sounds like, with her donation of 1.5 million pounds to various good causes there, that the adoption process was pretty easy for her. I wonder why?
As for the child, well, I know what you mean but since I don't know the lady in question and she seems to be in the public eye a lot, I'm sure David will be well looked after and any deficiencies in his upbringing will be quickly pointed out.

The child deserves a chance at life and she has the money to give the child a chance. I don't think she will get tired of the child she cant really with the whole world watching 24/7?

1) She's trying to prove money eventually buy happiness.which
i still doubt after looking at all celebrities like Paul Macartney(spelling error), Micheal Jackson and and the long list of celebs who got so much money.
2) She might have thought Anjelina Jolie was more popular than her, that's not good for her ego.
3) Maybe she wanna get into politics..you never know.
Ps: btw i would like to see a post from Madonna's husband here. it would be cool to see if ever he has a say. He can express himself on yahoo answers at least :P

I think it looks bad...even though this may not have been her intention, it appears to the world that she "bought" this child. It came from a country where international adoptions are very rare. She only got the child by pledging 3 million $ to the government to be used in adoption services. I think she's trying to mooch off of Angelina Jolie's much more reputable image.

I think that in this c ountry if you want a inter-racial adoption, you will have to undergo training so that the child appreciates his identification with his ethniticity.
I think Madonna's religious lifestyle isn't healthy and I think, according to the papers, that her dietary ideas are a bit bizarre. Is she fit to be a parent? I don't know. I'd like to see some social workers in on this case because I don't believe that normal Joe Public would have been allowed to adopt a child like this.

i don't have a problem with anyone adopting, but i feel there are children in this country who could benefit from being adopted before looking abroad, or has all the young children in this country suddenly been adopted?
its all a bit fast too, im sure if i wanted to adopt ill be waiting a little longer than her, so what if she has money! a child needs the one thing money can't buy...love
