You have a choice to do whatever it is you want in life. You don't need anyone on here to tell you that.

Bible is a great book for its teachings and for sheer beauty of its prose. I am no Christian. I have studied Bible many times over simply for its narration. In today's world with so many advances in Science and Technology we can not literally believe the scriptures in what ever religion not only Bible but all other scriptures in other religions. That does not mean we do not respect them. We accept what can be accepted in line with your understanding.Never downplay or talk light of these texts. May be a day will come when we may turn back to these texts all over again and give up all else since technology lead us to catastrophe and (nuclear) destruction.

The Bible should be read, digested and understood as much as possible, then applied following all the rules.
10 Commandments
IF a Christian than the examples and edicts of JEsus.
Everything else is subject to debate or interpretation.

God is God! Very real, No doubts! When you receive Jesus in your life, and confess your sins, and repent, God' s Holy Spirit comes to live inside of you. He will guide you on what to do or not to do. If you have a Bible please Read:
2 John 2:20 "But you have an anointing from the Holy one and, and you know all things"
Jesus spoke on parables to make easier to understand for the people. When he said if your eye make you sin... HE DID NOT MEANT TO PULL YOUR EYE OUT. He wanted to make a point if any area of your life making you sin, bring it to God in prayer, and ask him to guide you the right way, Because God is a loving God who don't want any harm for us his children. We just have to come to God in prayer for him to reveal his word to us.
John 14:26 reads" But the helper, the Holy Spirit whom the father will send in my name (Jesus) will teach you all things"
Like my screen name, I want to be whole again, does not means I am broken in little pieces, but that I need to stay in the right path to feel emotionally and spirtual whole. Peace be with you.

No, I believe God is more than nature. We are unable to comprehend God, therefore we assign attributes to God which we think of as God. Since we are made in His image, He would have our human attributes, in addition to many others we will never be able to comprehend.

The word of God is the truth. You can either accept it and live according to it, or reject it. But it is not to be constantly disected.
