Dear BeeJee: As one who worked very hard to impart information of the Father in the Religions/Spirituality category for a couple of months past, I found that the worst problem I encountered was the articulation of thought. Today's young people could not EXPRESS to each other a comprehensive well expressed question. The spelling problem was the saddest I had ever encountered. Between being unable to form properly constructed questions and, therefore, having poor articulation or expression, the spelling threw me backwards. Also, this age group has decided to forego capitalizing proper nouns such as: the President of the United States is always capitalized. Presidents of companies or organizations are not. The word God is not capitalized by this age group. Punctuation is non-existent. Little, if any, attempt has been made to insert commas, semi-colons, colons, dashes, etc.!
In short I have never known anything quite like this! Stunned.
What happened in our public schools to generate something like this? All standards in colleges and now the Armed Forces are being lowered again and again to accommodate this age group.
Do we want scientists developing medications for our bodies who have such a lower thinking, non-comprehensive overview of what they are doing AND cannot write comprehensive instructions for the product? Can we afford this age group in the White House? Can we turn to an attorney in this age group for life-saving help if they cannot express themselves ably and their research on the case is not comprehensive? Can I go to a doctor who attended a medical school with lower standards -because there was no way to keep the school sufficiently attended unless the standards were lowered? What level of teacher teaches OUR children NOW, and they went to college under lowered expectations for their entrance exam on top of the teaching level they will receive?
This age group has no idea what they have failed at! The repercussions are frightening and encompass every nook and cranny of society and its ability to function. Business will be hard hit. Errors in manufacturing, in design ; inarticulate help and lack of understanding from customer service representatives. It goes on and on.
Every young person out there has a responsibility for his/her life to make certain they have learned to read with comprehension; that they can structure what they say for solid articulation. They need to spell so they are respected by others. They need to learn proper sentence structure (grammar) and basic punctuation, and take pride in how they present themselves to others. This does not mean looking good physically, developing the BODY, and wearing designer labels. How we EXPRESS ourselves is how we present ourselves.
If it takes self-learning outside of the school, each of these young people needs to grab a basic book on punctuation and grammar and teach themselves - if all others have failed to teach them. They need to practice, themselves, on reading for solid comprehension. The problem is, of course, everyone felt that they did not have enough time with all the homework given to read deeply and contemplate the ideas in the reading, carefully. Everything now is skimming for information and hurrying through the homework at top speed. So much information is coming at them they can not keep listening and taking it all in. They short circuit their minds, short circuit the right avenues needed for learning, and short circuit everyone else in the process.
Every one of you young people out there right now must take the reins in what is occurring. Be embarrassed to present yourself as you have been. Teach yourself through self-learning procedures, if necessary, but you must do something about the current standard levels being set by your age group.
This is serious business at hand!
Good luck to all of you - enlightenment is just a small effort away.

Prilosec doesn't play a part in grammar... however, most people have low comprehension ability. They read the words but don't fully understand the meaning. They miss the point. If someone doesn't read well, they don't write well.

Before you take any new medication you should read the warning labels and all of the information that comes along with it. Failing to do so is a failure of the consumer for not wanting to educate themselves and taking chances with their health.

because there is truly some blatant mendacity or repeating incorrect information out of lack of expertise happening the position Mormons are in touch. Stereotyping is likewise exceptionally rampant and that is probable why to procure any such adverse reaction from Mormons on your question. until eventually you stay in Utah or Idaho it isn't going that you've sufficient involvement with Mormons to stereotype. right here's one get mutually of mendacity or lack of expertise the position someone those days wrote this about Mormons: "they don't seem to be allowed to positioned on flipflops or have more advantageous than 2 earring piercings both. females, it truly is. And adult males are required to positioned on white shirts and a tie to each and every service. no longer blue, no longer gray shirts. White in difficulty-free words." in the journey that that they had written data alongside with scholars at BYU and BYU-I are not allowed to positioned on turn-flops. The LDS Church encourages this is contributors to no longer have double piercings and encourages adult males to positioned on white shirts and ties to church does no longer were both lies or lack of expertise about our faith. yet by technique of declaring we "are not allowed" replaced into no longer staggering information. there is truly some stuff like that on Y.A. and it isn't necessary. There are some ex and non-Mormons who provide valid comments truly some the time and they don't very frequently get called out. Fakeuser and properly Traveled Prog come to recommendations. i'd no longer continually trust them, yet they don't come off as "anti-Mormon" like many persons answering.
