Can someone from Europe move to America and live there permanetely.?

I am not an American but many of my friends are in America. Its very easy to immigrate to the U.S illegally and is equally difficult to do the same legaly. The govt should rethink their immigration policy. Its easier to move into America being an European and white than other ethinicity (and they talk about racial equality). Still you would have to spend atleast 5 or 6 years without returning to Europe in between.

Legally, only with proper prior permission. The rules are quite complex as there are many more wanting to do this than the government wants to let in.
So do your research for your country and your vocation.

there'll be plenty of paperwork, but the more skills you have, the better.

The easiest ways are to have an employer lined up beforehand (easier said than done, I know), to prove you can support yourself without entering the US job market, or to marry an American.
