Don't let your dog out of a fenced yard or off of the leash. It's not an "if" but a "when" as to your dog getting seriously injured or killed by chasing a vehicle.
Some breeds just have a strong prey drive and is why they tend to "chase" a variety of things. This is bad when a vehicle is on the list.
Always, always be in control of your dog. If he will not obey a command to come and not to chase, then you have to keep him confined or on a lead for his personal saftey.

I hope this isn't a serious question, and that you don't really let your dog run loose near a road. It's very easy to just keep your dog inside, in a fenced in yard, or on a dog run. She can't chase trucks if she can't get to them.

Why is your dog freely running amuck? Get a fenced in yard or a long lead/tie-down. Dogs should never just be free to run around, its not fair to them..they don't know what a car/truck can do to them.

(1) Put in a fence - either a real one or electric
(2) DO NOT LET HER OUTSIDE LOOSE!!!!
That is one of the toughest habits to break - lots of theories out there but they only work about 10% of the time..
If you can't or won't put up a fence, then RESTRAIN HER.
Keep her inside and ONLY take her out on a leash or a long line - those can be up to 100 feet long so she can play.
(DO NOTjust tie her out and leave her - you have to be nearby in case she tangles herself on something.)
If all this is too much trouble, then she needs a new home with a FENCE.

You are an irresponsible dog owner. Never let your dog roam free. He must be on a good strong leash with you at all times when he is outside. You are disobeying leash laws and could be fined if your dog isn't killed first.

There is no way to stop a dog that chases vehicles except to confine them to a yard or tie them up.

There are many people that think this is in humane but it works sometimes and might save his life. Take your car and on one wheel take off the hubcap. Place a large cotton or burlap sack inside the rim and reattach the hubcap. Get your friend to drive your car down the road reall slow( you dont want the dog to associate the car with you) the bag will flap and the dog will be attractewd to bite it, when he sinks his teeth in he cant let go and it will drag him and make him tumble, this should scare him enough to be scared of chassing any other cars.
If this does not work invest in a shock collar which is humane and 100% effective.
