I'd suggest Hot Oil Treatment like Vo5. And only conditioners that specify for "damaged or dry hair". I would also not worry about the cost. You are gonna have to pay a Little more for the stuff that actually does what it says. I like Panteen, and LoRe al. Biologe is a salon formula that works and smell really good, but its more expensive, the conditioner is great for damaged and hard to manage hair. Also the Salon that highlights my daughter and I's hair told us to leave a little conditioner in when rinsing, just rinse your scalp pretty much, she said it's the same thing as a spray in conditioner does.

Its a bitt expensive but it does WONDERS to your hair, no lie
Ojon's
Restorative Hair Treatment $21 - $55
Solid Gold
A staple at top salons, this buttery treatment melts into a luxurious hair softener. Ojon oil in its purest form; hydrates and rebuilds tresses, leaving extraordinarily soft, shiny, healthy hair
Ojon's history is as rich as its main ingredient: The Ojon nut. Harvested deep in the heart of the Honduran rainforests, this tress-transforming ingredient has been coveted by the Miskito Indians—known locally as 'the people of beautiful hair'—for centuries.
DONT USE HOT OIL TREATMENTS, they only work for people with straight hair, seriosly, cheep is not always best

Same problem here - I love Biolage by matrix - conditioning balm. I have tried the Panteen - it did more harm than good and same goes for many of the "cheap" brands. Hairdresser recommended this one - now my hair doesn't feel like barbie doll, fake brittle hair...
Good luck - as something different works best for every ones hair!!

Go low-tech -- You can use mayo straight out of the fridge - it does wonders for over processed hair because of the oils & eggs in it. Leave it on for a few minutes (keep your head wrapped in a towel so that the heat of your head will help it absorb) and then wash with shampoo a couple of times. Your hair will shine like crazy!

Most conditioners are the same, I like biologe (not sure if I spelled that right) but one of the best things is try to go without washing your hair everyday. Natural oils is the best thing for hair.

I like the Apogee (sp?) products. They did wonders for my hair. Sally beauty supply carries the Apogee line of products. The key to correcting over-processed hair is to add protein and to moisturize. You need to look for conditioners that do both. And stay away from heat and anything that will dry your hair out.

I would suggest Infusium 23 or Aussie 3-minute miracle. I think both do a great job conditioning and restoring your hairs liveliness and body.
