This is my first GF grill and the lid seems sort of heavy when you shut it. I'm a little concerned about putting hamburgers and hotdogs on it. Do you put hamburgers on sort of frozen so they don't brake? When it comes to hotdogs...do you put them in the groves or on top? I marinated chicken breast in italian dressing over night and they were wonderful. So I know one thing to make on this grill. HELP!!! It was my birthday gift.

I have a GF knock-off grill from Hamilton Beach. Love it, especially for pork loins. You can also make grilled sandwiches in it. I'd put the hamburgers on when they were *barely* frozen in the middle. For hot dogs, put them on crosswise so you get the grill marks and just don't shut the lid!

The cleanup is easy, especially if you have a dishwasher. If you don't, wipe it down as it's cooling down, don't let it get cold, then just wash the grease trap.

Happy cooking!

These grills are great for a week or so, but it will end up in the cupboard under the sink with the juicer, sandwich toaster, coffee machine etc etc. never to see the light of day again.
