Well, assuming you're not joking, Joe King......live by what you believe in. My house is furnished with mostly second hand furniture, except beds :-) But I do work in the house clearance/antiques trade so have a bit of an advantage. I use the same criteria for running an old mercedes car, does what I want without having to worry about a 20 grande motor getting scratched. My daughter is just in the throws of getting a new kitchen, even though her existing one is only seven years old and looks good,........needs her bl**din brains tested, no idea what's really important in life.......yet! :-)

You have to do what ever you feel comfortable with! If you are happy with mismatched stuff then stay as you are. But on the other hand if you are feeling that you need a change then go ahead and have a change, but do it a little at a time. That way you will always be happy with what you have done!
Good luck on whatever you decide to do and just make sure you are happy with what you have done!
Don't make too many changes at one go and you will just smoothly change into a nice and updated home!
Good Luck whatever you choose to do!

If you have everything to match and you either want to change somrthing or replace a damaged item you may end up having to change the lot.
